Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

Today is your birthday, and cannot help saying a few words to you…
If you ask me, I would not hide my opinion concerning you…
These are the words of appreciations and even admiration…

You are a different sort of a political leader. You look at the management of your country not only as the USA President. You act as a brilliant conductor who stands with his back to the audience, but with your face to the orchestra. You are extremely demanding, and in case any musician plays falsely, you dismiss him or her in no time, regardless the person's previous records…

You have turned your back towards the audience.
Some of the spectators applaud you…
Others, on the contrary, blow whistles to express their disgust…

Therefore, I really love Franklin Delano Roosevelt's idea:
"Presidents are selected, not elected".

Today is your birthday, and cannot help saying a few words to you…
I wish you many happy returns!

Sincerely yours,

Zalman Vinokur,
Your devoted Friend from Israel
