In 2004, at the invitation of the 125th Emperor of Japan, Akihito visited a number of scientific and technical centers of the country of the Rising Sun.

The trip was funded by the Ministry of education, culture, sports, science and technology of Japan.

I gave a lecture at the Asahi Kasei Corporation, one of the world's leading chemical corporations. Out of 10 scientists from Russia, only I was chosen to give the lecture. The responsibility was great, but I read it very successfully, and I was offered to fulfill a large contract.

For 10 days, he lectured at the research Centers of corporations: Nissan motors, Toyota Tsusha, Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota, and other automobile companies.

Lived at "Akasaka Prince Hotel" near the residence of the monarch. Every morning I did a nice jog around the hotel, running near the Emperor's Palace.

The culmination was a visit to the ancient capital of Japan, Kamakura.

"Look, look, do you see women with staves in their hands and hats on their heads? - exclaimed our curator for the trip.

On the sidewalk appeared pilgrims, there were many of them, they walked very long distances across the country.

- These pilgrims are more than 105 years old, - said our curator Lyudmila.

They were all very short, probably no more than 145-150 cm, walking slowly one after the other.

- Kamakura - city sacred, - come and die here a great joy, - said Lyudmila.

Suddenly one woman became ill... I didn't have time to see where it came from, but people in white coats appeared. They pronounced him dead. The woman was lying on a stretcher and covered with a white sheet.

Next to him, the Buddha sat majestically and silently, eyes closed, covered with a greenish coating of centuries-old sleep, as if participating in the ceremony of the departure of the pilgrim's soul to an unknown and mysterious world...
