Короткий рассказ об истинном героизме
A short story about true heroism
Raisa Ivanovna is over eighty. After a stroke, she can barely walk with a Walker. She has hypertension and heart failure. The only son died, the daughter-in-law comes once a week more for formality, the grandson doesn't care about the grandmother. Both of them are looking forward to Raisa Ivanovna giving up her money to take over her apartment, even if it is one-room, but still in Moscow. Apart from her pension, Raisa Ivanovna has no income. And at a time when young and healthy people buy for tens of thousands of purebred kittens, Raisa Ivanovna saves the homeless. Cats and cats, which she gave shelter, food and love, she has seventeen. The first time I went to her apartment, I had a heart attack and slid down the door frame with a groan. The poverty in Raisa Ivanovna's apartment is simply terrifying. Instead of furniture, the apartment has never seen a renovation. Daughter-in-law and grandson do not want to invest in an apartment while Raisa Ivanovna lives there with her cats. If he dies, that's another matter. But Raisa Ivanovna still lives. And she lives thanks to her cats. She saved them, and they are saving her. Such mutual assistance is very rare between modern people. Thank God, people also help Raisa Ivanovna. Both volunteers and just housemates. Bring food to cats, pay for the services of a veterinarian. Cats do not have an exhibition exterior, but there are no ugly cats. And the eyes of Raisa Ivanovna's Pets are childishly clean and trusting – these cats did not have time to face human evil. They sleep in a warm room on soft bedding, always fed and well-groomed. They are very fond of the sick old woman who saved them. I would give Raisa Ivanovna the order of the hero of Russia.
