Just before I seriously started thinking of joining the RCC, I had been playing with the idea of apokastasis panton ( the so called Origenism). The universe with the Supreme Being who is allmighty and the Love itself clashed hard with the possibility of hell and everlasting punishment. It seemed to me at the time that even if just one soul wil be suffering in the background of triumphant and joyous New Jerusalem is intrinsically untenable, or, say, emotionally unsatisfying, and exceedingly so. Today my thinking is changed because I just cannot see from reason's standpoint, how free will ( whch is murderous not to accept) is at all possible, unless in reality one can make a choice towards evil. The best solution I came to, is that the possibility of evil is somehow a price for creating of cosmos out of nothing. Also: the state of being is much better than nonbeing ( not to mention that we cannot even think nonbeing).
