The Dragon of Ala-Too

On top of the planet or on the so called roof of the world, in Kyrgyzstan, the Dragon ruled, who guarded the gold hidden in these vast stretched and abundant mountains.
Everyone knew that there was a lot of gold and other treasures in this mountain country, but even the most intelligent scientists and advanced geologists saw only a small part of these precious reserves and have not idea about truly scale of this natural treasures.
The inhabitants of this country joked that if this gold hidden in this country would be share equally among them then all citizen of the country transform to sheer millionaires.
The winged fire-breathing monster only laughed at such guesses and prepositions because he knew that if all treasures hidden in these land were extracted, they could make from all the inhabitants of the Earth true millionaires - not one left robbed, unsatisfied or humiliated in his dream in the least.   
But if there was so much gold, why did Dragon guard it so fiercely? He had his own reasons and goals for that, which you will learn about at the end of the story.
The dragon loved the gold of Ala-Too, like all dragons in the world, but this love was special. All the presidents of this country suffered from the Dragon because of their greediness for gold: Dragon drove out of the country the first two rulers, making them wanderers for life, imprisoned the third, and gave the fourth only three years to rule the country, sent him into humiliating retirement when he and his entourage were doomed to live to the end below the grass, quieter than water.
But why did Dragon such harms to the ex-rulers of this country? After all, the presidents of neighboring countries lived their lives and did not grieve about anything, if they came to power, then rule until to end of their lives and done what they wanted and stole and no one told them anything?
  Actually, Dragon of Ala-Too had a great, cosmic soul: he dreamed about the days when to top position of this country rise a such president, who would be able to extract all gold reserves for the benefit of the country and the world without destroying mountains, forests, ecology, without poisoning rivers and lakes and most of all not a single gram of gold not to be stolen during this processes.
But the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and the shareholders of Kumtor - domestic and international damn brokers, manipulators and money launders -  they didn't gonna do it, not want to understand the requirements of the ancient owner of Kyrgyz gold, so the winged master of the Kyrgyz mountains severely punished them and their loved ones, pouring out his burning rage on them and their descendants.
These damn fools didn't get that dragon dreamed about the day, when all gold of Ala-Too will served to the Kyrgyz people and all of humanity and bring greatest benefit to all. He saw in his draconian imagination, how the most developed education system would be created in the country, the most advanced technologies and industries would start working and corresponding infrastructure and culture of far future will be based on this treasures. If the corrupt Kyrgyz politicians were proud of the fact that they became millionaires and acquired mansions and villas somewhere abroad, bought with gold stolen from the country and the people, the Dragon dreamed about the development of other planets in the solar system, about building modern cosmodromes on mountaing plates of Ala-Too, about powerful observatories and communication stations with the other civilizations, nested on the roof of the world. He traveled a lot in the Universe and saw the achievements of other civilizations, and therefore, better than anyone else on Earth, he understood what the future of the Earth and Kyrgyzstan would be and what should be done first of all to move in the right direction.

Most of all, the Kyrgyz dragon wanted the Kyrgyz and all peoples on this planet to come to peace and understanding, to curb their endless thirst for personal enrichment and mutual enmity and hatred, which prevented humanity from using the enormous wealth that this planet and soul of every nation and person hidden and what could not to be unfolded without general efforts and agreement.
He wanted the gold of Kyrgyzstan to contribute to the achievement of this goal, so that the brilliance of this noble metal and its invaluable qualities would help people become better, kinder, stronger, and allow them to expand the horizons of their existence.

But people and their leaders did not understand this, thinking first of all only about their own selfish goals and interests - only about how to pocket more gold for themselves and buy a mansion abroad, a villa or even a small island on it, in order to dump there when they come day of popular anger and discontent. They could not think of anything else.
Therefore, the rage of the Kyrgyz Dragon did not subside, flaring up day after day, year after year, with each new president who came to power and as a rule swore and swore that he would not steal gold and let the people and God punish him if he steals even a grain gold, but very soon he launched both hands into the state treasury, striving to become the largest owner of gold, not only in the country, but also in the world.
Many presidents changed in this country before the Kyrgyz people and rulers learned to control their thirst for power and gold - even more time passed before the descendants of those presidents who plundered the gold of Ala-Too were forgiven.
