Planning

Successful people plan ahead. Planning and execution are two different processes.
Separate planning from execution. Time spent on planning pays off.
Our life gets better by implementing our plan, rather than by improvisation or by chance.

If we want to have a successful day, we have to get ourselves in a productive state of mind in the morning,
but a great morning starts the afternoon before. So, our successful day starts with the afternoon the day before.

Plan your next day the evening before. Plan your next week the weekend before.

Plan on paper; take your time to write your plan down. Writing our ideas down engages our subconscious mind.

Our brain is very good at generating creative ideas, but it is far from perfect information storage device.
So, use paper as an extension of your memory.

Get the best return on your time by having a well-thought plan.
Make sure that you give your priorities some space on your schedule.

No plan survives first contact with reality; be prepared to adjust your plan.
A plan is not a plan unless it specifies how you will deal with distractions and setbacks.

Have a 1-page plan for this afternoon, tomorrow and the coming weekend.
