The thick journalism on the Kosti-NF. A story abou

The thick journalism on the Kosti-NF. A story about a media kitchen.

Mr. Wintertund liked to remember how he in the tundra, in the light of a flashlight, in the sunlight, in the polar lights, would open a thick magazine and read its publications with interest.

Even if you do not take into account the "Novy Mir" [a Russian-language monthly literary magazine]! The same "Yunost" was not bad at that time!

Mr. Wintertund recalled how Kosti-NF prepared an interview with one of the deputy editors of a thick metropolitan magazine (which once - until 1991 - shone brightly in the literary sky).

In an interview (it took place about June 2020), it was about an author from Rostov-on-Don, who wrote a story about a Romanian soldier who found himself in Stalingrad, in some Stalingrad apartment.

The author was awarded a small-caliber prize (the thick magazine itself gave the award), and this author looked in the interview like some kind of rising literary star. If not like a star, then like October with a fresh, invigorating wind.

It was interesting to read this story - right after the interview. But something imperceptibly interfered. The story remained unread.

In general, Mr. Wintertund paid tribute to the deputy editor and editorial staff of the thick magazine.

The author of the story seems to be from the "young", but writes about the Great Patriotic War.

Does he remember about modern foreign policy and foreign economic vectors? Usually they remember - first of all - about Paulus's 6th Army and about Friedrich Paulus himself. And here, judging by the story of the deputy editor, the main character is a Romanian soldier. (Yes, and also, not Italian.) This is not bad, not bad, as a plot maneuver of contemporary Russial literature.

Lives in Rostov-on-Don, but writes about Stalingrad (Volgograd).

In Rostov-on-Don, at about the same time, one of the authors posted on free platforms (platforms witout any payments for authors) his works about Vissarion Belinsky, Vladimir Bogomolov, and other cultural figures. This independent behavior can be annoying. An intention may appear - to create of a quasi-double ...

What is the name of the author who won the award of the thick magazine?

Mr. Wintertund used Internet search engines.

With the help of one search engine, he searched for: "an author from Rostov-on-Don who wrote a story about a Romanian soldier."

In another search engine: "Rostov author who wrote a story about a Romanian soldier in Stalingrad."

It's impossible to find anything!

Mr. Wintertund decided to call the thick magazine and make inquiries.

Found some phones. No answer from any number!

What?

Maybe call "Yunost"? Having weighed all the pros and cons, Mr. Wintertund decided not to rush with such a phone call ...

(The radio on the neighboring wave was broadcasting: "A threads goes up and into the darkness." ... This is from Andrey Makarevich ["Marionettes» song] ...).

Mr. Wintertund dialed the number of Mr. Monster Cockroach. They have a magazine called "The Writing Education" there at "The Writing Institute". These thick magazines probably communicate with each other.

However, neither Mr. Monster Cockroach, nor "The Writing Education" answered the calls.

What is it?

Mr. Wintertund remembered about an intern at Kosti-NF - a graduate of the Writing Institute, a relative of some Moscow official. Let this intern through personal contacts find out what is there, with "The Writing Institute", with Mr. Monster Cockroach and with other figures of thick journalism.

In half an hour, information came through the trainee.

In thick journalism, a telephone silence regime has been declared. There is a process of allocating budget funds to thick magazines.

"Dexterously!" - Mr. Wintertund approved.- “When they give awards, they are - employees of thick magazines. When they come for allocations from the budget, they are the ones who present literary prizes (well, the deputy positions also show the influence). When they teach classes at "The Writing Institute", they are the ones who have budgetary funding and who hire graduates ...”.

Maybe prepare a reportage, or at least a brief information, on the allocation of budgetary funds in favour of thick magazines?

Mr. Wintertund gave instructions to Mrs. Quicktalker.

As soon as Mrs. Quicktalker went out the door of the editorial office, a mysterious telephone roared, and there were a couple of calls from the boss's phone number - with the calls being dropped.

Mr. Wintertund became worried. By his cell phone, he gave Mrs. Quicktalker a new assignment.

Let she hurry to university and interview students on how they feel about pension reform.

The signals of the special phone  and calls from the boss stopped.

Mr. Wintertund cut off a slice of lemon, sprinkled it with sugar and ate it.

Each kitchen has its own secrets!

Mr. Wintertund enjoyed the sweetly sour taste of the lemon with sugar in his mouth.
