Eka Kevanishvili poetry review

The poetry of Eka Kevanishvili is a perfect example of what postmodernism can be if it's spiritual enough.
Eka Kevanishvili is a Georgian journalist and a poet who has issued 3 poetic books. She has a penchant for writing free verse, and her free verse is beautiful, full of abstract philosophical ideas. She concentrates on the inner world of her lyrical heroes and uses complex metaphors to reveal their thoughts and feelings. Her style is up-to-date though it conveys universal truths and eternal values. She uses the city landscape and nature scenery as a background for her refined and thoughtful lyrics.
The author is faimiliar with different philosophical and culturological concepts but her poetry is as light as a feather. Her style is very recognizeable and it shows the fast tempo of our epoch along with the pathos of self-search of her characters.
Highly recommended to read.
