The Evening

The air was fresh, quiet water was alike the glass
Reflected shine of stars Into the azure sky
The dark covers of the night
Streamed all along the covered
With grass and flowers valley,
filled with blest smells. A holly
Stood up the shore. It sheltered any lark
Who trilled and warbled and sighed alike a spark
Whose spectre walked along the river with his youth
There were a beloved and his muse
It seems this evening was entirely dedicated
To them. And tenderness reflected
Into the deep of water.
When you could see the fog that hid that lovely couple
Out of other eyes alike a supple
Magician... everything was for
Two lovers, they were sheltered by the fog,
By light of stars and by the dark
For only them trilled, sang and warbled a lark
