Ukrainian publishing houses personal rating

I believe in Ukraine's publishing prosperity and diversity.

If I were to choose which publishing houses for fiction/nonfiction deserve to be awarded, I would mention these:


1.Naukova Dumka - for constant and intense attempts to keep Ukrainian science and teaching on a high level, for moderate complexity of works combined with quoting accuracy.

2. Nash Format - for creative approach to editing and translation, tolerance and diversity, for being an internationally acknowledged Ukrainian book publisher.

3.Folio - Creativity, high awareness of historic events, high quality publishing, sensible editors, openness to young writers.

4. Nebo Art Gallery - for deep immersion into the world of artbook publishing, discovering new names in visual arts.

5. Astroprint - for unqueness of approach towards interdisciplinary research vision, for well-grounded marketing/distribution methods.

Of course, we can see a real 'publishing boom' in Ukraine, and it was hard to choose only 5 positions. I strongly believe in highly skilled editors who are not only  at terms with their principles and good taste, but are partners with their readers and authors.
