World Social Media Day

Today, on June 30, the whole world celebrates Social Media Day.

This holiday was introduced by a social network called Mashable on June 30, 2010.

It is a day which unites more than 4 billion people who use social media in their daily communications, for study, work, creativity, newsmaking, entertainment, for government and private purposes.

This day is devoted to the idea of unity between people, diversity of knowledge, fast and comfortable information exchange, various opportunities to work and get professional training, most of which are credible and reliable.

Social media help people start new projects online, give detail comment on events,
fulfill their creative dreams, take part in contests, talk to virtually anyone.

While diversity and simplicity of social network instruments are on the increase, some privacy and human rights issues may arise. By this I mean tolerance/discrimination, personal space, work and study ethics.

Being a complicated and highly specified, thriving industry, social networks are about to become more influential than before in the nearest future, so I would like to express my gratitude to their creators and numerous users.
