Nuritdinova Alimova Feruza Rakhimovna

I wanted to share with you about the Uzbek scientist biochemist, doctor of biological sciences, professor, wonderful person, mother and a grandmother.

  Nuritdinova (Alimova) Feruza Rakhimovna (October 4, 1939 - January 15, 2021)
She was born on October 4, 1939 in the village of Leninpol (since 2001 Bakai-Ata) of the Talas region of the Kyrgyz SSR (since August 31, 1991, the Kyrgyz Republic) in the family of an accountant.
Father: Alimov Rakhim worked for over 50 years as an accountant, for the last 27 years as a chief accountant of the first vocational-technical school in Uzbekistan number one in the city of Fergana, Uzbek SSR.
Mother: Alimova Bibisora is a mother of five children, has worked for more than 40 years in various positions and in recent years at vocational school 36 in the city of Fergana, Uzbek SSR.
Nuritdinova (Alimova) Feruza Rakhimovna graduated with honors from school number 5 of the city of Fergana in 1957 and in the same year entered the Faculty of Biology and Soil Science of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (founded in 1755), which she graduated with honors in 1962. In the same year she was sent to work at the Republican Research Institute of Experimental Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR (NPO Biolog).
In 1965, she entered graduate school at the institute and, under the guidance of Academician A. I. Imomaliev, prepared a scientific work on the topic: "The physiological effect of diuron on cotton and width" and defended the scientific title of candidate of biological sciences.
In co-authorship she prepared the work "Herbicides and their action on plants" in which she outlined the mechanisms of action of herbicides and methods of their modification.
For more than 17 years she has been studying the method of growing cotton fiber in an autoclave. In the event that the desired result was achieved, the prospect of producing cotton fiber with specified indicators in factory conditions opened up.
Based on the results of this work, in 1991 she prepared the work "Endogenous regulators of cotton fiber formation" for the title of Doctor of Biological Sciences. In the same year, she successfully defended the title of Doctor of Biological Sciences at the Tajik Scientific Research Institute of Physiology and Biophysics of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
For the development of the plant growth regulator on May 15, 1992, she received an inventor's certificate No. 1761058.
In 1993, a competition was held to fill the position of head of the laboratory of physiology and biochemistry of growth regulation. Under her leadership, the laboratory carried out work on the topic: "Study of the nature of the action of plant growth regulators"
All over the world at that time there were only 2 laboratories dealing with this subject: in the USSR in Tashkent and in the USA.

Over the years, she has trained many candidates and doctors of science. Among her students were not only representatives of the former Soviet republics, but also representatives of the far abroad.
Feruza Nuritdinova is the author of over 100 articles in various scientific journals. She was an active participant in the Second All-Union Congress of USSR Biochemists. The results of her work on phenolic compounds were announced in the theses of the second, third and fourth All-Union Congress of USSR biochemists. She took an active part in the work of the fourth conference of biochemists of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
Feruza Nuritdinova took an active part in the social life of the institute staff. She was the secretary of the Scientific Council of the Institute, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute, Chairman of the Women's Council, a member of the People's Control Committee.
Her long and fruitful work has received various awards.
Having already retired, in 2007 she was invited to the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami to the faculty of "Natural Sciences", to the department of "Botany and Cell Biology" for the position of professor. She lectured for students on the subject of "Plant Physiology", and also participated as a professor in the State Fundamental Project OT-F4-023 on the topic: "Study of the physiological and biochemical foundations of fruit formation and abscission of fruit organs of new and promising varieties of cotton" scheduled for 2007- 2011 Against the background of this project, she supervised the doctoral dissertation of the associate professor of the department Pirakhunova F.N. on the topic "Regularities of interrelation of microelements with fruit formation and abscission of cotton fruit organisms" and Ph.D. thesis of the assistant of the department Dzhuraeva F. on the topic "Influence of diacetate monoethanolamine stimulator on fruit formation of promising cotton varieties". And also, she was the head of the master's student Temirova Mukhlisa from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, specializing in "Biology" on the topic "The role of the diacetate monoetonolomine stimulator in the preservation and increase of cotton yield".
After the completion of the State fundamental project OT-F4-023 on the topic "Study of the physiological and biochemical foundations of fruit formation and shedding of fruit organs of new and promising varieties of cotton", she also continued her scientific activities at the department. In 2016, an article was published on the topic "The influence of , boron and a stimulant diacetate monoetonolamine on the growth and development and fruit formation of cotton "in the scientific journal" International Journal of Experimental Education "(No. 11-2 2016) in Moscow.
In 2017, Nuriddinova, F.R. was awarded a Diploma at the educational and methodological fair "Moscow International Education Salon" held by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for an article co-authored with FN Pirakhunova. and Abzalov A.

As a multifaceted researcher in recent years, she has been studying the legacy of the renowned theologian Bagautdin Naqsh Bandi al Bukhari. Prepared materials for the publication.
However, it was not possible to finish this work: she had been ill with coronavirus (COVID19) and the complications turned out to be incompatible with life.
