Приглашаю Оршанцев в общепит "капибару". Буду праздновать день почтовой открытки! Капибару кормил на форуми официального посткроссинга и даже погладил. Она не кусается!

Dear Руммо,

It’s almost time for World Postcard Day on October 1st and we hope you are as eager as we are for the most wonderful day of the year. We’ve ordered some extra postcards and stamps, refilled our fountain pens and are ready to go!

There’s still time to make plans and join… so if you’re looking for ideas to celebrate the day, here’s a quick checklist to help you put the World Postcard Day on the calendar:

The most important thing of all: send some postcards on October 1st! Surprise your family and friends with a nice message, or maybe your neighbors or someone who has had a rough year and could use a bit of kindness. Let them know you’re thinking of them!
Additionally, if you send a postcard through Postcrossing on October 1st, you’ll receive the special World Postcard Day badge on your profile when that postcard arrives.
If you’re a teacher, we have a lesson plan to help little ones discover how mail works behind the scenes, and help them write their first postcard.
There are loads of events taking place in the coming days, from exhibitions and seminars, to children activities, special cancellation marks and even some meetings of enthusiastic postcrossers happening in several different countries.
Some of the events will take place online — like this seminar by the Chairman of the British Thematic Association on collecting, storing and displaying picture postcards. Or, if you’d like to join in writing postcards for people in hospitals, tune in with UK charity From Me to You on their Instagram live event. And you’re always welcome to join us on Postcrossing’s Discord server, if you’d like some company while writing your postcards throughout the day.
Spread the word! Let everyone know your plans for October 1st, and invite your friends to join too. If you’d like, you can share photos of the nice postcards you’ll be sending with the hashtag #WorldPostcardDay.
