Peace of Mind

Stress is the biggest cause of unhappiness, and stress is harmful for our body and mind.
“The best cure for the body is a quiet mind.” - said Napoleon Bonaparte

Stress blinds us, so we miss opportunities.
Opportunity rises with our blood pressure, and we don’t win by panicking.

When our stress is low, the parts of our brain and all our internal systems are better synchronized,
work more efficiently, we feel better and we are more productive.
Peace of mind is our real luxury, so choose peace of mind.
“Set peace of mind as your highest goal, and organize your life around it.”  -  said Brian Tracy

Our mind is a powerful tool and our strongest muscle, but it tends to get
a little turbulent and chaotic, so we need to tame it, or someone else will.

90% of people’s problems are caused by their own thoughts.
“Our worst enemy cannot harm us as much as our own unguarded thoughts and words.”  - the Buddha
Some people never heal, because they keep replaying corrupted scenarios in their heads.

Peace of mind is achieved through mind-training and making wise choices.

1. Routine is everything.
A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset.
So, start your day with positive mindset, and brighten your day.

2. Pollution is harmful.
Keep your mind and emotions pure as much as you can.
Avoid noise of useless and distractive information to minimize polluting your mind and emotions. It is achieved by training our mind.

3. Avoid and ignore shiny toys to keep your peace of mind.
Desiring shiny toys is not practical and it causes stress.
It is a waste of time and it takes our time from ourselves.
The more objects we have, the less time we have for ourselves.
We need to discard our vain desires that have been planted in our mind by the media.
Value your peace of mind more than peoples’ opinions.
Acquiring and accumulating material objects cause anxiety, and don’t make us happy. (Studies confirm it.)
Pursuing shiny objects lead us to wasting out time, energy and other resources.
The more we value things, the less we value ourselves.
Attachment leads to stress and suffering.
Luxury dulls us and makes us weaker.  Luxury is a drug.
When we stop chasing the wrong things, we give the right things a chance to catch up.
Real luxury is a beautiful state of mind. Develop immunity from shiny toys.
The only shiny thing we need to be happy is our smile.

3. Appreciate little things. Don’t indulge in sensual pleasures.
Many people lose the luxury of small joys in the vain hope for ‘big happiness’ that exists only in soap operas.
We create a good future by creating a good present.

4. Desire the things that will simplify your life, not further complicate it.
Pursuing the things we don’t need leads to wasting of out time, energy and other resources.
    Go with the flow. When something you need comes your way, grab it;
when you can’t use it any more let it go to free your hands for something more useful.

5. We need to learn to minimize our suffering.
We need to become more flexible to minimize our suffering.
    Most human suffering is self-inflicted.

6. Follow the middle path.   -   Выбирай золотую середину.
Falling in extremes is easy, but it backfires.

7. Gently distance yourself from toxic people, and keep making good friends.
Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.
"Peace of mind begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions." - Pema Chodron
Avoiding toxic people to protect your inner peace and emotional health is not weakness. It is wisdom.
Walk away from people and situations that threaten your peace of mind and values. We can’t change other people.
The less we encounter toxic people, the more peaceful our life becomes.
Time we can devote to ourselves and spend with our friends is our ultimate luxury.

To have peace of mind doesn’t mean to be in a place where there is no work or noise; it means to stay calm being in the middle of those things.

Minding our own business brings us peace of mind.   -   Не лезь в чужие дела.
To acquire peace of mind, we need to let go of the position of the General Manager of the Universe.
We need to train you mind to be able to stay calm in the middle of chaos.

Perceive life as it is, not as we want it to be.
“Peace (of mind) is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is rather than as you think it should be.”  -  Wayne Dyer

Expect less and accept more; it makes life much easier.
We attain our peace of mind through re-focusing on positive thoughts and re-framing our thoughts.

Protect your peace of mind at all cost.
We can’t step twice in the same water.
Don’t waste your mental energy on useless regrets about the steps
you think you should have taken or you could have taken, and
what could have happened or might have happened.  Let the past go.

Value your peace of mind more than people’s opinions.
Train yourself to attain peace of mind.
“Peace of mind begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.” - Pema Chodron
Convert all the nonsense into the fuel for your strong health and peace of mind.

Start each day with a positive mindset. Brighten your own path.
What we do today, is what matters most.
