We Live in the State of the South Carolina!
Our grandson Daniel goes to elementary school. We have already have gotten used to the fact that his teacher does not assign him homework. And suddenly, afterwards, after the New Year, the child comes home and declares: "Now I have to write a small composition daily on a theme that our teacher gives us."

This revelation had been somewhat unexpected for parents of Daniel. But what can you do? Lessons must be completed! "Don’t worry, Daniel, we will help you!" - said Mama Marina. And so it began!

The assignment said: write one paragraph on the theme “The state of South Carolina.”

After lunch, Daniel prepared for his heavy work: having gotten a notebook and pencil, he sat down comfortably and began writing the first version. Marina looked over the shoulder of her son and read: "There were a lot of wars in South Carolina.”

“Daniel, in our state there   has not been many wars. In the last century, there was a single Civil War between the South and the North. Do you understand?" expertly answered the historian of America Marina Alexandra. "OK, OK, I get it!" - answered the third-grader.
Mother recommended instead to write about how there are many rivers in South Carolina. Daniel so wrote. "And now, write something else by yourself." Five minutes later, the mother checks her son’s work. The sentence was: "There were a lot of wars in South Carolina".
Having lost her patience, she invited her older son to the room. Kevin was almost in his last year of high school and was very well educated. Mama again repeated her verse that there had not been many wars in our state. At that, the 11th grader recommended to write about the many animals in South Carolina. The child listened intently and wrote.
"Good job!" – exclaimed Marina. "And now write a sentence on your own."

And Daniel, having finally understood the lesson, diligently and beautifully wrote: “There were a lot of wars in South Carolina.”
