Bouquet A Broom Made From Flowers
Do you like flowers?
My answer is: “Yes, I like them very much!
I think that flowers are a marvelous creation of nature; they are how nature speaks to us. They convey love, peace, and harmony. Any event takes on a new meaning when decorated with flowers of any kind—red tulips, field daisies, chrysanthemums, lilacs, orchids.
My favorite flower of all, though, is the gladiolus. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful and graceful flower. It can be presented to show attitude and respect. While most people would buy them for any occasion, for my birthday, I always got gladioluses from my family. How wonderful!
You might ask me, "Why did you name a story, 'Bouquet—a broom made from flowers?'" For me, this is normal. Let me explain. When I met my future husband he often gave me bouquets made from many different-colored flowers. My betrothed called this exotic bouquet a "broom". After five years, I had gotten used to receiving brooms like these. So, for my next birthday, I had been expecting a huge bouquet of my favorite gladioluses.
And we decided celebrate that imported for me day on the Black sea. During the year we saved money for the vacation, we were ready for nice rest.
In Ukraine we like spending our holidays actively, and our favorite time for the vacation was summer because it’s warm and sunny. It’s a good time for the spend vacation on Black sea with family. Great!
Nature is very welcoming in this area and the sea is amazingly beautiful. The climate is mostly dry and hot. The best place to be when it gets hot is by the sea. Its coolness is soothing. Lying under the sun and swimming in the sea was my favorite
activities while on vacation. We also took a couple of excursions in Sevastopol.
The history of this city was very interesting. We enjoyed our travel! Wonderful! We had a pleasant time in the beautiful city of Sevastopol. All of our family members were happy. The apartment that we rented was high above sea level; we had to carry our young son in our arms, climbing steep steps. But this did not ruin our great time of the long-awaited holiday.
Tanned and refreshed, we walked around the heroic city and enjoyed what we saw.
I must say that husband’s uncle was a resident of Sevastopol, and we were going to visit him and his family. We phoned and agreed to meet at the house of Uncle Yuri and his wife Aunt Musya. And then, my precious husband remembers that one of the relatives with whom we will be meeting will have a birthday on August 9.
But he completely forgot that it's my birthday too! I decided to remain silent, not to remind him about myself. It should not be so: my husband loves me and remembers about my birthday!
And then it became the morning of August 9th. Usually on this day, he would wake up early and run to the bazaar to buy a fresh "broom" while I was still in bed.
On this ill-fated birthday, it did not happen, but husband remembered his distant relative, and invited me to go with him to the store and buy a gift for her. What was there left to do? I agreed, but I hoped in my heart that he would remember and congratulate me, as it always was. But alas, this did not happen. Anyway, we congratulated her, as expected, gave a gift, and at this, the day ended. We returned to the rented apartment, and my husband was silent. I fell asleep that night with an unpleasant feeling in my heart.
The next morning came. I woke up and saw that my husband was not at home. And then he appeared: in his hands, a big "broom" made of gladioluses. What do I do, what do you think?
With a smile I kiss my loved men and thank him for his attention?! It was not there! I turn my back and say that: “You should have done it yesterday, not on August 10.” Husband was upset and began to apologize. But I, stubborn and offended, did not accept the apology. The flowers lay on the table without water.
It was the day of our departure back home from Sevastopol. When we began to leave from the house, husband loaded with luggage, took the bouquet with him. We were going to the bus station, under the heat, with a crying baby, and the bouquet was in the way of picking the child up! Kim proposed that I take the “broom”. I did not agree. And then my dear husband with a wave threw the elegant bouquet into the nearest trash can! What a nightmare! But I am still angry. So this is how I remembered my long-awaited birthday! Did I forgive my husband?
Woman is good! She can forgive man, even if he is not a guilty!
