Sarojini Naidu - a life of talent and dignity

Sarojini Naidu is one of the all-Indian legends.
Her approach to creativity and her quest for political freedoms for her compatriots were second to none.

She was raised in Uttar-Pradesh and her mind was amazingly sharp. Sarojini was considered to be a child prodigy.
Som time later, when she got married, she started her political activism path.
Her approch to her compatriots was thoughtful and pragmatic - she tried to do her best to ensure their needs, academic and economic, were met fully. It was easy for her to inspire crowds as her rhethoric was a blend of Indian brightness and passion and clear structure of Ancient Greek and Roman argumentation.

Sarojini was the second woman in the position of the state governor, and also one of the most liberal thinkers of her time.

Her innovative decisions and a keen mind made her increasingly popular.
She tried to find remedy against discrimination and inequality, and she also devoted a fair amount of time to her creative writing.

A distict European influence and traditional imagery in her poetry would speak for themselves, as well as her wide scope of background knowledge.

A life spent in attempts to explain the unclear and care for the discarded made her name memorable and legendarized her image.

The poems of Sarojini Naidu were close to perfection and impeccable from the point of view of form and technique. Quite unusually for women of her time, the abstract would prevail over the emotional, and subtle dramatism of her artistic manner became a trademark and a new standard for the following generations.
