The Coin of Chekhov 10 kopecks of 1902. An antiqua

The Coin of Chekhov (10 kopecks of 1902). An antiquarian story.

The little girl walked up to the buffet.

There was a box on the shelf.

The girl opened it. There was a coin in the box: 10 kopecks.

- Dad brought this coin from Moscow. A few years ago, in 1904, - one of the older brothers explained.

- And now this coin is in the box?

- Dad went to the post office, when he was in Moscow, to buy something. He gave his ruble, he was waiting to receive a change. Chekhov also came there. To buy an envelope, postcard or something else. Everyone looked at Chekhov, the famous writer, and gave way to him. Dad saw him in Rostov. Chekhov gave several coins, took away the purchase... One of the coins paid by Chekhov, dad received as the change. Now this Chekhov's coin is stored in a separate box.

The little girl looked at the coin with interest ...

Over a century of political changes, the box has been lost. The coin (10 kopecks of 1902)- due to its lightweight and small size - has been preserved, has survived…

I believe in this story, - like as Heinrich Schliemann believed that the heroes of Homer touched the objects he found in Greece.

The girl has grown up. She had a son.

Chekhov's coin passed to her son, and from him to me.

Circumstances compel me to put up the Chekhov's coin (this coin I received by inheritance) for sale.

I will compose and place a sale announcement, take a photo of Chekhov’s coin…

Anton Pavlovich himself was engaged in trade. He knows from his own experience that this is not an easy business. Maybe he will help me...

…... I compiled the text of the sale announcement:

«The Coin of Chekhov (10 kopecks of 1902). (1902 - the period of reign of Emperor Nicholas II). The coin made of white metal, presumably of silver. But I did not conduct a chemical analysis of the metal and an examination of authenticity.

Coin condition: 120 years (2022-1902=120) left their marks. The coin looks to a certain extent not bad.
