What s wrong with Facebook s literary criticism

Personally, I believe in the power and necessity of Facebook as a communicational instrument, however its academic capacity seems to be dropping significantly if compared with the same value in 2006.

First of all, teachers and students used to feel safe on campus since they knew only people who study or teach could be there. Secondly, previous versions of API would facilitate search and research using online instruments.
Last but not least, even the spookiest, the weirdest accounts were easy to trace, humour didn't use to be weaponized.

I mean the period between 2006 and 2012.

Speaking about ads, I've nothing against them if they promote gaming, travel, luxurious fashion, health prevention etc. It's just that they don't need to meddle into a Zoom conference and things of a kind.

One of Facebook's key audiences (let's call it show business and alternative/undeground art) is currently growing rapidly, so user-generated content is still welcome.

I can understand what moderation is about in most cases, however, personally I believe it should be talent-oriented and merit-based, so that its clarity and efficacy wouldn't affect the accounts which are legitimate and promote high quality information.

Literary criticism on this network still leaves much to be desired.

While in the US more than 9 basic literary criticism schools are acclaimed officially, unfortunately even the most sensible creators and critics sometimes resort to condemnable rudeness. This means they are far from being logical, objective and easy-going.

The very idea of globalization on this network which enables people from all over the world to connect and share their experiences, is vital and second to none.
