There is a lot of wisdom, as well as stupidity, in “The Rational Male.” One the one hand, I see how the author victimizes poor average frustrated chumps to brainwash them with masculine ideology. On the other hand, there are too many patterns, brilliantly described in the book, which one has to be blind not to see all around. It’s not a book; it’s a huge epistemic bubble.

A boy came to believe that women are evil, and all they want is to look for the best sexual partner to reproduce; that’s in their nature. After a couple of decades, during which the belief has been structuring the boy’s mind, we have a painstakingly elaborated theory. Now, the theory has evolved into a kind of digital virus that spreads through the young unexperienced minds of helpless males, turning them into confident fools. Game! What a childish concept! Sure, we’re all here to breed, and our survival as biological species is the only one meaningful purpose of existence. Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. All art and science was created to attract a female. Those idiots who think that justice, freedom, philosophy, science, etc., might be things in themselves, are just as delusional as kids in kindergartens.

No doubt we’re bounded by our instincts, and sex plays one of the most important roles in the life of our species, but there are things beyond that. A mere understanding that you’re a biological robot determined to do certain things and exhibit quite a narrow variety of behavioral types, may open the doors to such places where your “Game” is played by none, but the mentally castrated. Anyway, I’m gonna read more. This book aroused my curiosity much more than the scribbles of fools who “teach” other fools how to get rich. As if a rich fool is no longer a fool.
