The explosion of Holocron Tower had brighten up with the flash of the Force all around. Vader and Ahsoka was thrawn away from each other to opposite sides. Temple was damaged. Only the darkness, ruins and dust around.

Ahsoka had waken up. She looked up herself for no hurt. The Force had saved her again. On the other side of ruins she saw Vader laid down. Ahsoka went closer. He was in dust and his mask had been much more damaged. Ahsoka took her breath away. She reached out her hands to his helmet and the mask opened up with a hiss... Ahsoka recoiled. She couldn't believe her eyes! That really was Anakin, who was like a brother to her, like a father! And what has he become now?

His eyes opened and she saw that orange sparkle again. Vader got up abruptly from the floor and pushed Ahsoka with the Force, but Togruta managed to put a block and only moved a couple of meters back.

- Who did this to you?! - she shouted impulsively.
- Are you sure you want to know? - Vader said in his firm tone.
- I'm sure!
- Then look.

He raised his hands to his head and closed his eyes, and Ahsoka saw the scene with Palpatine and Windu, the conflict with Padm;, the fight with Obi-Wan, Anakin's defeat, his pain and suffering. She clutched her head.

- Enough! Stop it! - she shouted. - It's not true! I do not believe you!

Vader took his hands away from his head.

- Not to believe and not wanting to believe - are not the same, my former padawan.

Ahsoka pursed her lips and closed her eyes.

- You also had experienced the betrayal of the Jedi Order. Only Skywalker came to you for a help and believed in you. But where were you when he needed your help? You betrayed your master.
- No! I did not! I needed to be alone, I just ...
- Selfishness! Was that what your teacher taught you? Anakin Skywalker was weak and broken, Darth Vader was stronger! - Vader clenched his hand into a fist.

Ahsoka stood opposite, barely holding back the pain of the past and resentment. Resentment towards yourself. The guilt overwhelmed her.

- Where have you been all these years? You didn't even try to find me.
- I thought you were dead!
- Died and resurrected. Excuse - is that your gratitude for everything Skywalker did for you when you needed him? Where were you when he needed you?
- I... I wanted ...
- Lie. And now you are not able to change anything.
- You're wrong! It is still possible to bring everything back! Rectify it!

Ahsoka took a few steps forward.

- Impossible! - Vader threw Ahsoka back with the Force and brought down a part of the temple vault so that he cut off her path to him. - There is no way back. Don't try to look for a meeting again. Otherwise next time I will show no mercy.
- But I don't want to leave you! - Ahsoka's voice came from behind the ruins.
- You must or you will fail!

With these words Vader walked out of the half-destroyed temple and as soon as he got out the clear voice of Ahsoka sounded in his head: "Anakin! Forgive me!" Vader stopped, turned around for a second, and walked away, panting and limping slightly. Only the Convor bird watched him as many years ago at the destroyed Venator when Anakin last lit the blade of the Jedi sword, the very sword that he personally gave to the one who he sincerely considered to be his sister - and with an extinguished blue flame finally went out everything that connected Anakin Skywalker to the past, and there was the very moment when Skywalker died and Darth Vader rose up. Ahsoka finally realized that and realized her fatal mistake.

- I must find the answer to my question, - Ahsoka Tano said to herself and went deeper into the Sith's temple slightly holding her aching hand as if reflecting the pain of her aching soul.
