The first snow falls from the sky
As the first snow falls from the sky,
Melodies of youth come rushing by,
On wings of ice, they soar and sing,
A frozen paradise, where we take wing.
Euphoria and freshness fill the air,
As diamonds in the sky, without a care,
A fluffy snowdrift beckons me near,
To jump and swim without fear.
Water droplets turned to flakes so fair,
An angel's kiss, beyond compare,
In harmony with the tales of old,
A beauty so pure, a sight to behold.
As children, we waited with bated breath,
For the first snow, a chance to forget,
The world's worries and the year's strife,
To play and laugh, in this wondrous life.
Sheepskin coats and bamboo poles, we recall,
Gliding on homemade skis, standing tall,
Sweating and steaming, inhaling the scent of snow,
Our small homeland, forever a part of our soul.
Winter may be short-lived in some places,
But in the mountains, it still embraces,
A salvation from the monotony of green and rain,
A chance to reveal those feelings again.
For Christmas, a gift of snow and frost,
Bringing happiness, memories not lost,
More precious than fancy toys,
Wrapped in ribbons, under the twinkling tree's joys.
Let us praise the snow and frost,
For reminding us of what we've lost,
Childhood melodies, gone forevermore,
But in the snow, they're once again reborn.
And on Buyan Island, where the snow and frost did fall,
A magical day, recorded forever, for one and all.
Where snowflakes danced with the breeze,
And icicles sparkled like crystal keys.
Winter's symphony, a delight for ear and eye,
Of diamond sparkles, and stars so bright,
A fleeting moment of nature's art,
A masterpiece carved in every heart.
Post Scriptum:
First snowflakes fall,
Youthful memories recall.
Frozen paradise, take flight,
Euphoria fills the air so bright.
Water droplets turned to flakes,
An angel's kiss, nature makes.
Childhood joy, worries flee,
A wondrous life for you and me.
Winter, salvation from the green,
Feelings rekindled, pristine.
A gift of snow and frost,
Bringing happiness, not lost.
Childhood melodies, reborn,
Winter's symphony, nature adorns.
A masterpiece, carved in heart,
A fleeting moment, nature's art.
Recorded by Vladmir Khlynin on the island of Buyan, in
the realm of Saltan, Washington and Kain, on December 26th, 2021.
We praise the snow and frost today, for bringing back memories of
yesterday, a magical day, on Buyan's island, when snow and frost came
out to play.
