Дневник Сумасшедшего 1424
Before falling asleep, I thought about the course of lectures “English from Scratch.” Based on the techniques that I created in the last year, this course might help me attract attention to the ESCK. I’m going to present these lectures once a week at the Innovating Cultural Center, record them on video and publish on youtube. However, I probably need to wait 36 days until I shift to Russian and then make these lectures my number one priority for the next 100 days.
The idea of switching languages and creating competition between two different modes of thinking—two sub-personalities, so to speak—is brilliant. It’s been more than 3000 days since I began to write these daily notes, marking the initial point of my recorded personal history. Now, it’s the 12,864th day of my life. The day I introduced this system of counting was 9605. It was February 19, 2012, 151 years after Russia abolished slavery. Although I’ve been writing these numbers on top of every page for almost nine years, I still framed all events and memories of my life using conventional time. Whenever I think about something that happened in 2012, 13, 14, etc., I have no idea which day or interval corresponded to it on my personal scale. Well, I remember the day 10,000. It was March 2013. That’s all. My memory is unbelievably transparent; I may reconstruct the past nine years month after month without consulting my diaries, but again it’s going to be February 2012, March 2012, April 2012, etc. Now, it’s no longer the case. I guess it started at 12518. Before, I had been thinking in English for about 100 days. Then, from 12518 to 12599, I used Russian. From 12604 to 12704, I used English. From 12705 to 12799, Russian. From 12800 up until now, English. This is incredible!
