Об увольнении главы центра, где разработали вакцину «ЭпиВакКорона», стало известно 17 мая. В Роспотребнадзоре пояснили, что основанием для прекращения трудовых отношений стало нарушение закона «О противодействии коррупции» и выявленный конфликт интересов.

Приказ об увольнении Максютова глава Роспотребнадзора Анна Попова подписала накануне, 16 мая.

Источник, знакомый с ситуацией, сообщил «Ленте.ру», что причиной увольнения Максютова могли стать отношения с подчиненной. Telegram-канала Baza сообщал, что эта девушка также работает в «Векторе» и занимает высокую должность. По словам сотрудников центра, у нее свободный график: она приходит, когда посчитает нужным.

Авторы поста сообщили, что сотрудники жаловались на Максютова руководству Роспотребнадзора. С главой «Вектора» якобы провели беседу, однако ситуация никак не изменилась.

На дальнейшую работу центра «Вектор» увольнение Максютова не повлияет
После появления информации об увольнении руководитель пресс-службы «Вектора» Никита Каньшин заявил, что центр продолжит свою работу. «"Вектор" исполнял и будет исполнять свои обязательства по изучению опасных вирусов, по разработке профилактических и диагностических препаратов», — сказал Каньшин.

Центр «Вектор» являлся разработчиком вакцины от коронавируса «ЭпиВакКорона». Максютов работал в нем с 2003 года. На должность гендиректора его назначили в сентябре 2016 года.
