Barbara Woodward
at a meeting of the organization's Security Council
stated that

London has been using depleted uranium armor-piercing shells for decades.

"The British Army
used depleted uranium
in their armor-piercing shells for decades.
This is a standard component
and has nothing to do with
towards nuclear weapons
or capabilities",

— she confessed.

Before her speech
, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia
said that
London does not care about the fate of citizens.
He noted that the British authorities are well aware
of the long-term consequences for the environment and human health
caused by the use of depleted uranium shells.

The Russian diplomat
recalled
the words
of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Great Britain
James Hippie,
who stated that

" London
is not obliged to monitor the use
of depleted uranium ammunition
and has no obligations to eliminate the consequences
of their use
at the end of the conflict."

Earlier, CNN
reported that

London, on the eve of the counteroffensive, handed over to Kiev
a number of long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
Their range of destruction reaches 300 kilometers.
Later, information about the supply of missiles
was confirmed by the head of the British Ministry of Defense, Ben Wallace.

Барбара Вудворд
на заседании Совета безопасности организации
заявила, что

Лондон десятилетиями применял бронебойные снаряды с обедненным ураном.

«Британская армия
применяла обедненный уран
в своих бронебойных снарядах десятилетиями.
Это стандартный компонент
и не имеет никакого отношения
к ядерному оружию
или потенциалу»,

— призналась она.

Перед ее выступлением
постпред России при ООН Василий Небензя
сообщил, что
Лондон не волнует судьба граждан.
Он отметил, что британские власти прекрасно знают
о долгосрочных последствиях для экологии и здоровья людей,
к которым приводит использование снарядов с обедненным ураном.

Российский дипломат
напомнил
словам
замминистра обороны Великобритании
Джеймса Хиппи,
который заявил, что

« Лондон
не обязан отслеживать использование боеприпасов
с обедненным ураном
и не имеет обязательств по ликвидации последствий
их применения
по завершении конфликта».

Ранее телеканал CNN
сообщал, что

Лондон в преддверии контрнаступления передал Киеву
ряд крылатых ракет большой дальности Storm Shadow.
Дальность поражения у них достигает 300 километров.
Позже информацию о поставках ракет
подтвердил глава британского Минобороны Бен Уоллес.
