В конце октября  у нью-йорской церкви пастора остановил тучный человек в очках и попросил исповеди. Пастор был занят и попросил явиться в следующую пятницу, но человек настоял, что исповедь ему нужна сейчас и передал пастору пол ста долларов. В исповедальне пастор прочитал молитву на латыне In nomine Domini Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti. Amen и начал задавать вопросы.

- Как вас звать ?

- Марк, Марк Колфилд.

- Вы верите в Господа и Сына Божьего Иисуса Христа?

- Да пастор верю, но не католик, католичество в штатах это что-то допотопное.

- А кто тогда ?

- Баптист, да нет, просто христианин, адепт Христа без какой-либо конфессии.

- А что тогда привело в Римско-католическую обитель ?

- Исповедь, это уже пятая исповедь, до были исповеди в православных и грекокатолических обителях.

- В каких грехах покаитесь ?

- В тех, что совершу, а те что совершал в них нет смысла каяться.

- Это были тяжкие грехи ?

- Блуд с женщинами не самые тяжкие, а вот будут более тяжкие, тем более я ку ку, совершу эти грехи, и буду ли в них раскаиваться, не знаю.

- О них могу узнать или не нужно ?

- Нужно. Вы слышали Битлз, знаете Джона Леннона ?

- А как же, по телевизору показывали, что он нынче в Нью-Йорке, нашем шумном городе, дом где Дакота, с японкой.

- Леннон богохульник, не так ли пастор.

- Не знаю.

- Однажды заявил, что Битлз значимее Христа, этот раб Божий много плохого о Христе заявлял.

- Что же, мало ли таких, Господь им судья.

- И я тоже.

Марк достал револьвер.

- Пастор не паникуйте, вас не застрелю, а вот Леннона да, может через неделю, может через месяц или год. И эти голоса из всех углов.

- Не нужно эти идеи навязали духи тьмы, это же тяжкий.... Совершите преступление, и другие будут повторять подобные же преступления.

- Должен ответить, если Христа очернил. Мир избавится не от человека, а от зла в человеке. Ведь это лишь человек, а не Бог. У Битлз и Леннона миллионы фанатов по всему свету, они ценят их музыку и прочее, меня же будут ценить не за то что застрелил Леннона, а за то что избавил мир от зла, от невежества,Леннона не станет и Марк Колфилд, его палач, станет значимей его, что оно такое этот Леннон, до битлов было ничем, стали показывать по тв и уже заявляет, что оно значимее Христа. Что оно такое, раб Божий, кто возгордится, тот опустится. Я наказание в руках Господа. Пастор можно вопрос ?

- Да.

- Покину церковь и вы пойдете стучать фараонам ?

- Нет

- Да. Но этого не советую делать. Если настучите и меня посадят, за покушение на Ленона, то после того как вернусь в эту церковь и спущу всю обойму в пастора и тех монашек, правда ку ку. Теперь не станете стучать ?

- Не стану. А Леннон у вас одна цель ?

- Пока да, но потом и иные. Пастор они демоны и каждый из них отправится к сатане, не так ли.

Пастор окрестил и Марк Колфилд, как тень исчез из церкви.

В декабре Марк Колфилд, как представился пастору совершил преступление, четыре пули сразили Леннона. Марка допрашивал детектив.

- С какой целью совершили это преступление, чтобы все мировые СМИ показывали вас, вот это жалкое существо застрелило самого Леннона.

- Не только детектив, мог застрелить и актера, и все СМИ также бы шумели. Леннон задел мою веру, моего Бога. Если бы он был в Англии, не полетел б туда, чтобы пристрелить это. Но оно тут у Дакоты, получил его автограф, фотографию репортер сделал.

- Кстати на этом фото с Ленноном как-то мутно взляд направлен через очки на него. Твердо определили, что после того, как вернется из студии застрелите.

- Именно так, были сомнения тогда в этот вечер или еще другой, может запишет еще какие песни. Но итак не мало раз откладывал, поэтому как лимузин оказался у Дакоты палец уже щикотал курок, Леннон заметил, кивнул, догадывался ли, что я его палач. Нет, посчитал, что какой-то тюкнутый фан, которые вечерами там торчали, но нет не фан Леннона, просто ставил пластинки Битлз, просто палач Леннона. Не вписывайте меня в фаны этого существа. 

- Что ж светит бескрайний срок в камере, а если отпустят, то тут же найдется битломан, который расправится.... Над пропастью во ржи, книгу пока заберу, а капелан требуется для исповеди ?

- Нет.

- А всё же может, кто-то заказал, хотя капаться в этом. Цели иные, поймать и посадить, выкинуть преступника в то место за решеткой...

The pastor baptized Mark Caulfield as a shadow disappeared from the church.
