       Вот я открыл эту колонку, чтобы написать тебе поздравление к Дню Рождения и подумал, что же ты хотел бы услышать от друга? И растерялся... так много истории!
       Мы уже много лет не общались в силу обстоятельств, которые переживали эти годы, старались победить всё плохое внутри нас и вырастить всё самое лучшее. Из молодых людей, которыми мы были когда-то, мы превратились в бородатых и седых. Седина — это признак того, что мы стали ближе к своему роду, своим предкам, мы следующие на пороге у Вечности, после ушедших родителей.
       Мы стали родителями и даже дедушками. Хотелось бы увидеть и правнуков, сохраняя ясность ума. В нас по-прежнему живёт русская жизнь, в которой мы хотели бы видеть справедливость, любовь и надежду, что наши дети будут лучше нас, здоровее нас, красивей нас, умнее нас и даже успешней во всех начинаниях, нежели это было в нашей жизни.
       Мы с тобой учились на чужих и своих ошибках. Теперь наступило время созерцания, обоснования, осмысления своего опыта и желание передать его тем, кого мы воспитали и тем, кто с нами близок духовно. Это такая же трудная и важная работа, которая является третьим актом нашего жизненного спектакля перед занавесом.
       Алексей, я хочу пожелать тебе здоровья и жизненной силы для этого третьего акта, наполненного заботой и любовью вокруг тебя в твоей семье.

       Here I am, opening this column to write you a birthday greeting, and I thought, what would you like to hear from a friend? And I got lost... so much history!

       We haven't communicated for many years due to the circumstances we've experienced during these years. We've tried to overcome all the bad within us and nurture all the best. From the young individuals we once were, we've transformed into bearded and gray-haired individuals. Gray hair is a sign that we've grown closer to our kind, our ancestors. We are the next in line at the threshold of Eternity, after our departed parents.

       We've become parents and even grandparents. It would be nice to see great-grandchildren, maintaining mental clarity. Russian life still lives within us, a life in which we wish to see justice, love, and hope. We hope our children will be better than us, healthier, more beautiful, smarter, and even more successful in all endeavors than we were in our lives.

       You and I learned from others' and our own mistakes. Now is the time for contemplation, justification, understanding of our experience, and the desire to pass it on to those we've raised and those who are spiritually close to us. It's the same difficult and important work, the third act of our life's play before the curtain falls.

       Alexey, I want to wish you health and vitality for this third act, filled with care and love around you in your family.

       Three cheers!
