And the specter still roams

The Bearded Karl Marx, also known as Moses Mordecai Levi, once vilely joked, "A specter is haunting Europe, the specter of communism." And the rascal turned out to be right. The specter roams and has long been on a global scale.

What kind of beast is this, that wherever it reaches for power, it spills rivers of blood: Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot... What makes it so attractive that, despite everything, people are drawn to it like mad?

In reality, communism is a contagion, a disease. When there's no war, when everything's in order, meaning some are rich, some are poor, some are healthy, some are sick, some are beautiful, some are ugly - everything's in order, everything's as it should be - then the idea of so-called "universal justice" arises in certain people. It turns out, as the poet said, we must "give to each what they lack."

Well, with straight legs or a charming face it's still a bit tricky, but money can indeed be distributed more fairly! Take from those who have a lot and give to those who have none. Sounds attractive, even noble. All that's needed is to devise a theory that clearly proves that the money in a rich man's pocket actually belongs to the poor.

Such a "theory" was concocted by the bearded one. Declaring as an axiom that the labor of the worker is the sole source of profit, he "proved" with his fingers that at any given moment, everything around actually belongs to the proletariat, which has long ago repaid the bourgeoisie with the profits they generated.

Today, we clearly see what happens where there are no specific owners. We know that a lion's share of GDP is produced in the financial sector, without any participation of the proletariat. Moreover, we cannot ignore that with outsourcing and automation, the real need for this very proletariat is steadily decreasing.

Once, on his first visit to America, the late Zhvanetsky diagnosed: "In America, to stay in place, you have to run with all your might." I'm afraid this diagnosis is destined to become more and more relevant. And those who are not attracted by such a prospect will be drawn to the bearded one, to socialism.

To the USSR.
