    Владимир Нифонтович являлся кандидатом исторических наук и преподавал на кафедре всеобщей истории почти тридцать лет, курс лекций от истории Древнего Рима до позднего средневековья в историографии Европы, числился пунктуальным лектором и вёл лекции сразу после того как получил диплом в этом институте. Никогда за ним не было никаких выговоров от ректора, кроме того, что порой получал мзду, но не от всех студентов, лишь те кто знали весь курс истории обходились без мзды, половине же студентов приходилось мзду перечислять. Укорять Владимира Нифонтовича в сём не нужно, ведь и другие лекторы института занимались тем же. В последние годы число поступающих сократилось, число институтов увеличилось, а дипломы можно было приобрести просто в переходе, те кто не желал пять лет торчать в стенах института так и поступали, а дипломами приторговывали порой сами же лекторы того института. Но всё же число поступающих в институт не сокращалось по сей причине. Большинство студентов, кто поступал отчислялось в первые же два семестра по причине пропусков лекций и распитий спиртного на лекциях и семинарах. Оставались в основном институтки, которые старались не пропускать лекции, семинары и сдавали все экзамены.

 Владимир Нифонтович, шатен с поседевшей бородкой, являлся холостяком по причине того что его супруги не стало, когда летела рейсом то ли с Бангкока, то ли со Стамбула. После этого для Владимира Нифонтовича не существовало более никаких женщин. Даже на большинство институток не смотрел, а если и смотрел, то смотрел в них, как в пустоту. Но всё переменилось осенью на первой лекции для первого курса. Владимир Нифонтович в начале лекции не замечал никого в аудитории, и читал материал по Древнему Риму...

- Итак Юлий Цезарь расширял империю Рима. В начале 52 года до н. э. большая часть галльских племён объединилась для борьбы с римлянами. Предводителем восставших стал Верцингеториг. И вот взор Владимира Нифонтовича оказался на институтке на последней парте, в синих джинсах, в красной кофточке, грудь её была не меньше тройки, она как копия его единственной супруги, и сидела за той же партой где более тридцати лет назад предложил Юлии выйти за него. В следующую среду на семинаре Владимир Нифонтович опрашивал всех институток про гальско-римский период, а в группе были одни институтки и лишь один студент. Последней выступила она, её звали также, её голос и стан, как у Юлии. Владимир Нифонтович, слушая её, шептал про себя.
