Why do we need utopia?
- “Nine years ago, the wonderful Uruguayan writer and man Eduardo Galeano passed away.
He forever left us the highest standard of a true intellectual, humanist, guardian and defender of our historical memory.
Another humanist and dreamer, Chavez, naively, in order to open his eyes, once gave his book “Open Veins of Latin America” to the American temporary worker Obama. (it turned out to be no use - author)
Eduardo Galeano once wrote about utopia:
“She pops up on the horizon.
I take a couple of steps towards her and she retreats a couple of steps.
I walk another ten steps and the horizon recedes again exactly the same amount.
No matter how far I go, I will never reach it.
Why then do we need a utopia if it is unattainable?
Probably just for this – so that we can move forward.”

Author.
But this is not enough - just moving forward, so moving forward, it seems to me, you need to reach out and tear off a life-giving “piece” from this utopia that is slipping from under your nose, ever receding, for yourself... so as not to completely die, not to suffocate from the dystopia we now live in...
