Walpurgis Night 2

“The day we set off,” Olga yawned, “I remember well - it was the thirtieth of April, and the first overnight stay in the Cemetery was from the thirtieth of April to the first of May, just on Walpulgis Night.
Before going to bed, Nadezhda took a large bag of sand from her backpack and scattered it around. Our tent ended up in the middle of a circle of sand.
“And why did she do this?” Katya was surprised.
- Nadezhda explained that the place where the Burial Ground is located is famous for the fact that in ancient times witches and their assistants - Fears - performed their rituals here, and since the night that we had to spend on this earth was magical, that is - Walpurgis at night, that’s why my sister’s friend put protection around the tent from evil spirits. The witches will not be able to step over the circle of sand, because they will have to count every grain of sand, and it is impossible to do this before dawn.
“Wow,” Katya clapped her hands, “have you found yourself in a scary fairy tale?”
“If you knew what happened to us that night, you would never have agreed to go on this hike with me!” However, friend, let's cook dinner already. Fairy tales are fairy tales, stories are stories, but we need to have dinner.
“Wait, Olya,” Katya suddenly became alarmed, “it seems to me that you have already uttered these words!”
“When is this?” Olga stopped laying out the groceries and looked carefully at Katya, “I don’t remember anything like that.” Let's cook dinner.

Walpurgis Night 3

“That day when we set off,” Olga absentmindedly looked around the tent with her eyes, she would like to remember everything that happened to her, but she really wanted to sleep, “I remember well - it was the thirtieth of April, and the first night was in the Mogilnik was from the thirtieth of April to the first of May, just on Walpulgis Night.
Before going to bed, Ivan, Nadezhda’s brother, took a canister of fuel from his backpack, made a ditch around our tent, poured the fuel there and set it on fire. Our tent was in the middle of a circle of fire.
“And why did he do this?” Katya was surprised, “and where did Nadezhda go?” This was your first trip to the Burial Ground, why didn’t she go with you?
- Nadezhda got sick, she felt so bad that she was forced to abandon the trip to the Cemetery. Nadezhda’s younger twin brother, Ivan, came with me.
-Ah, got it. But I didn’t understand, why was the circle of fire needed? From insects, perhaps?
“I also thought so at first, but Ivan said that the place where the Burial Ground is located is famous for the fact that in ancient times witches and their assistants, Fears, performed their rituals here. And since the night that we had to spend on this earth was magical, that is, Walpurgis Night, that is why Ivan put protection around the tent from evil spirits.
“Wow,” Katya clapped her hands, “have you found yourself in a scary fairy tale?”
- If you knew what happened to us that night, you would never have agreed to go with me on this hike... Wait, Katya, don’t you think that everything is repeating itself? Remember, it seems to me that you have already asked this question.
-I? Do not remember that! Olya, friend, what’s wrong with you? You've turned so pale! Maybe it's time to change the bandage? Or are you hungry!? Fairy tales are fairy tales, stories are stories, but dinner needs to be prepared!
- Here! These words! - Olga looked at her friend with horror, - you have already uttered these words, or rather, I have uttered these words!

Walpurgis Night 4

“The day we set off,” Olga smiled at her friend, “I remember well - it was the thirtieth of April, and the first overnight stay in the Cemetery was from the thirtieth of April to the first of May, just on Walpulgis Night.
Before going to bed, Svetlana thought about something for a long time, and then told me that she couldn’t sleep and would go for a walk. I felt bad and stayed in the tent. I was already falling asleep when Sveta returned, she had a bouquet of lilacs in her hands. Seeing the lilacs made me feel worse, and when I took a full breath, I felt like I was suffocating! With the last of my strength, I asked Svetlana to take the bouquet of lilacs outside, but to my surprise, Svetlana refused.
“And why did she do this?” Katya was surprised, “does she like the smell of lilac so much?”
“I thought so too at first, but Svetka said that she couldn’t stand the smell of lilac.” I was getting worse! My second and third requests to remove the lilacs from the tent were refused. Finally, I realized that Sveta was behaving this way for a reason, and asked her what she wanted. It turned out that our housemate wants me to give her my artifacts. I had no choice, Svetlana knew very well that on this magical night, Walpurgis Night, you cannot bring lilacs into a house where there are sick people.
“Wow,” Katya almost cried, “you’ve found yourself in a terrible fairy tale!” But wait, didn’t Svetlana know that here in the Cemetery you can’t steal?
- Svetlana did not risk anything. Technically, she didn't do anything wrong. She didn't steal the artifacts, I gave them to her myself. I would like to become a female Superman, jump up, push Svetlana away, snatch the lilacs from her, and throw the bouquet into the street. But unfortunately I couldn't do it. I was about to lose consciousness from suffocation. I could even die. But a dead person doesn’t need artifacts. Therefore, I allowed Svetlana to take my bag with artifacts. Having received my permission, my neighbor silently collected her things, found a bag of artifacts among the pile of my things, and left the tent.
- Why didn’t you ever tell me this? Then I simply wouldn’t say hello to this Svetka!
- If you knew what happened to me that night, you would never have agreed to go on this hike with me!
For some time there was silence in the tent, Olga recalled the details of that unpleasant story, and Katya thought about how to take revenge on her insidious housemate when they returned from the Burying Ground. However, time passed and the girls suddenly decided that it was time to break the silence that hung in the tent, and they spoke at the same time.
-But girlfriend, let’s cook dinner already. Fairy tales are fairy tales, stories are stories, but we need to have dinner.
As the words that the girls spoke in sync came out of their mouths, their eyes began to widen. It seemed that someone else was controlling their speech apparatus and lips.
“What is this?” Katya shouted, “what is happening to us?” And it seems to me that I have already uttered these words, it was the same night, and we were, we were then in this tent. Don't you think so?
“Yes,” Olga looked around with fear, “I remember this conversation!”

Walpurgis Night 5

It was night, Olga and Katya were sitting in front of each other in the tent. Then the girls moved closer to each other, as close as possible - they were scared. This time they didn't forget anything. Each repetition of the situation was imprinted in their heads. They looked at each other, but were silent; it seemed to them that if they remained silent, the situation would resolve on its own. Suddenly there was a knock, it seemed like someone was knocking on the tent, although this could not be. The tent was canvas, and judging by the sound, they were knocking on wood. Moreover, the smell of burning seeped into the tent; something was burning somewhere. It was not the smell of a fire; the fire in front of the tent burned barely, one could say that it was smoldering.
The girls hugged. No force would drive them out of the tent now.
Suddenly, a voice was heard outside the tent - it was the voice of a man.
- In the name of the cross, open the door! Walpurgis, you better open the door in a good way!
- Who are you? We won't open it for you! Come in the morning. - Olga shouted, plucking up courage.
- Who is this? You are not Walpurgis, I know her voice well!
- I'm Olga.
-Oh, so you’re Walpurgis’ assistant? Are you the daughter of headman Svyatorek? The head of our cross hasn't said anything about you, so you can leave!
- What about her? What will you do with her?
- Walpurgis the midwife will be burned in the sacred fire. Witches have no place in our lilac paradise! I'll give you one minute, you can leave!
Olga turned to her friend for advice, she didn’t know what to do now, but the changes that happened to her friend in those few minutes that Olga spent talking with an unknown man shocked the girl so much that she just opened her mouth.
“Well, why are you silent,” said the girl who had Katerina’s face, “you need to make a choice.” The minute will pass quickly! Save yourself, friend!
- What happened to you, Katya?
- Smoke is bad for you, Olga. My name is Walpurgis, I am a midwife, but I have never practiced witchcraft.
Olga looked at her friend in shock. Katya had changed, it seemed that she had become taller, and the clothes that the girl was now wearing could not be called casual. This is how girls dressed in this region three hundred years ago.
Meanwhile, the man who was standing behind the tent began to act. The acrid smell of smoke seeped into the tent.
Olga frantically rubbed her eyes. My eyes were watering, my throat was sore, there was not enough air, and the space of the tent suddenly turned into a room in a village house.
“Thank you, friend,” Katya said through a cough, “I knew that you would not leave me.” We can save ourselves! There is another exit in this house, this secret door, my mother, then a young midwife, ordered to be cut into the wall so that pregnant women who did not want their secret to be revealed would come here secretly at night. My mother has been dead for a long time, but the door is still used for its intended purpose. Let's go to!
“Now,” Olga began to fuss, “I’ll just find a bag of artifacts.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Katya laughed and then coughed, “but whatever it was, we don’t have time to search, he probably set the house on fire from all sides.” I hope we can open the door!
However, the girls' hopes were not justified. The door didn't open. The girls fought against the door with their whole bodies, but could not do anything.
“Witches,” came laughter from the street, “You are in vain hoping to be saved!” I lit a cleansing fire just for you, witches! No,” suddenly the intonation of the voice of the person shouting changed, “be gone, Satan!” No, you don't dare! In the name of the cross, disappear! No!
The girls, losing consciousness, were still weakly struggling against the emergency door, when suddenly the door gave in to their efforts, and they literally flew out into the street.
A white horse stood near the emergency door. She was the one who helped the girls
