Humor and Education Punishment in ABA

In Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), punishment is a way to decrease unwanted behavior. There are two types:

1. **Positive Punishment**: This involves adding something unpleasant after the behavior. For instance, a child might receive extra chores for making a mess.

2. **Negative Punishment**: This means taking away something pleasant after the behavior. For example, a teenager might lose screen time for breaking curfew.

Punishment in ABA is like a gentle hand guiding behavior, much as a sculptor shapes marble. It's not about force, but about finesse, using humor and education as guiding lights.
