Shy while young

The year’s so young
And so are you.
My eyes abound
With sparkling dew.

Above the clouds
The sky is clear.
It’s pure and loud,
The call I hear.

The call of waves
Through ticking clocks
Breaks loose,
And breaks the icy rocks

In snow-white sea
That is your heart,
The one that’s still
Untouched by darts

Of future sins
We shall go through.
You say: “Keep silence.
Yet, be true”.

We’ve got our share
Of harps and wings.
Your silky hair
Is on my skin.

I’m happy now,
And I’m aware:
No matter how,
One day you’ll flare.

The year’s so new
And so am I –
Devoted, true,
Beloved and shy…
