The Perfectionist

There was a girl who was a perfectionist. That made for her a reason to have her schoolwork always made in time and everything put in her schoolbag in total ideal order; and her hair always plated tight and accurate. But she did not realise she is a perfectionist; she thought that is the way it should always be. And also her Dad was a perfectionist. He was strong and handsome; he used to go to gym twice a week and had a good career and never left his socks hanging around and always put the toilet seat down after himself. That is the way all the perfectionists do.

But their Mum was spontaneous unpredictable muddler. And she always made everything wrong. Dad used to tell her about things she did wrong and the right way for things to be done. And the girl while she was little did not; than she grew up and started teaching Mum as well. But Mum was spontaneous and stubborn and could not have learnt anything because of that. And some day she took poison and put it into their soup. But the girl went to her friend’s birthday party that day, so she did not have soup, only had some tea and biscuits before going to bed. And so she wakes up in the morning and finds her Dad and Mum already dead. That is why they remain in their bedroom although it is daylight and time to go to work. So she decided to bury them. She comes after her school lessons to a funeral service and says to the manager of that office:
«Hello! My Dad and Mom have died this morning, how can I bury them?»

He was very pleased to hear he got two clients at once and going to make much money; he says to her:
«Hello, girl! Which sort of funeral do you like the best — with or without music?»

She loved classic music, so she says:
«With music.»

But with music it goes more expensive. So he came even more glad and says:
«And which cemetery do you like for burial? — there are cheaper places and some other more expensive ones, more sunny and overviewing the seaside.»

As she was a perfectionist, she wants everything the best. So she ordered the best places in a first row. He become perfectly happy and asks which coffins would she like? But she says:
«I don’t want two separate coffins. I want the two of them in one. Because that was the main dream of Mom’s entire life to see Dad in a coffin and white sleepers. But if they get in separate coffins — that would make a problem, wouldn’t?»

He got slightly upset, but thinking: «I’ll settle».
And he went demonstrating her how nice it is laying in a separate coffin, how comfortable. He made her trying it. She liked the coffin, it was very nice polished wood and the pillow soft. But she still insists. He’s trying all means, wishing to get more money, comparing the price of one coffin and two. So he decided to invite her to restaurant to convince her there. He says:
«Let’s go to some restaurant to discuss things over a meal?»

But she remembers there is yesterday soup at home, it could get lost. She said him there is plenty of nice stew Mom cooked just before her death. And he went eager to have that stew. So they arrived to her home. She laid a tablecloth and mats on it. She put silver on the mats and big saucers to put the bowls on them. And soup went boiled right up that moment. She poured the soup into the bowls and put the bowls on the saucers. And he is sitting by the table with his hands washed. She took a seat, too. And as she did, she saw she has no napkins on the table. She got ashamed so much, she blushed, jumped up and apologised saying:
«I go to buy some napkins, could you please wait for me, don’t start eating before me for god sake! Everything should be done as it should be.» — and she left for napkins.

But he could not stand it without her and had all his soup even without cream and napkins. She comes back from shopping — and he is there waiting dead.
So she was needed to bury him as well. She already learnt the normal order they are doing things, he did show her. So she made a double coffin with music for Mom and Dad and one more — beautiful red polished coffin for the funeral director. It all was so perfectly done, everybody liked it. And after that it became popular to be buried in double coffin and she made a fortune and a successful business lady. That is what her dad used always to say:
«Good girls are ensured to be successful in business. You just have to do things the way they should be done.»

And now she is the richest girl in her town.
