There is bustle here. Running COSTUMERS with costumes, students (girls and guys all in dress clothes, with musical instruments in their hands). They listen to the orchestra playing on the stage. 7. NAT. A lively festive crowd is snoozing in the middle of the garlanded square. Near the trees covered with golden lights, on a snow-covered bench gathered a friendly company. A swirling wave of snow stops the car. Pashka and Vadim run up to the door, the door opens.

120. ROAD. Both cars block half the road. They go and butt heads! Oncoming cars drive around them with horns. Screams of Danilov, Pashka, Max. Brakes squeal. Snow thrown out from under the wheels. Barinov's car pushes Danilov's car onto the sidewalk.
120-A. MERSEDES SALON. The perky voice of a DJ comes from the receiver.
DJ
And the first lucky appeared at our New Year's studio...
At this moment, Barinov's car pushes out Danilov's car. It skids,

Continues to belt out the song. Vadim comes to his senses in the front seat. He pulls off Squirrel's hat. Suddenly he starts yelling. Beat Barinov with a plush nut sewn to his paw. Barinov fights back. Pashka squeals in the back seat.
BARINOV

131. Surprised people begin to get out of the BUS. Talking. They giggle. The WOMAN DRIVER feels her bus and begins to quarrel with the drunken Barinov. Alena runs to the scene of the accident. She's hysterical. She saw a fuel truck drive by the place where Andrei was standing.
ALENA (shouting)
Andrey! Andrey.
Andrey rises from the ground. Shakes himself off. Alena runs up to him and starts hugging him.
ALENA

ANDREY (surprised)
It looks like that...
Vadim, Max and Danilov run up to them. Vadim begins to hug Andrey. Alena steps aside a little. Danilov approaches her.

134. NAT. – RED SQUARE – NEW YEAR’S NIGHT There is an atmosphere of amazing fun all around. People in masks push past here and there. Firecrackers and firecrackers explode. People dance in circles.
