Caveat Petitor
Demons makin’ coffee, dancin’ to the beat.
One’s got a latte, breathin’ out steam,
Another’s mixin’ sugar with a sorcery scheme.
Behemoth grinned, said, “What’s your delight?”
I should’ve known, this don’t feel right.
A menu full of wishes, shiny and new,
But every little favor comes back to you!
Caveat Petitor, careful what you crave!
You get what you want, but it won’t behave!
One little wish, now you're in too deep,
The price ain't gold—it's your soul they keep!
A demon served coffee, gave me a grin,
Said, “Drink it fast, or it drinks you in!”
One tiny sip, I started to glow,
Next thing I knew, I was floatin’ real slow!
Another guy wished to be smooth and fine,
Now he’s stuck winkin’ all the time!
Charms turned up, fans in a race,
Even mirrors blow kisses to his face!
Caveat Petitor, careful what you crave!
You get what you want, but it won’t behave!
One little wish, now you're in too deep,
The price ain't gold—it's your soul they keep!
Behemoth sipped and shook his head,
Said, “Y’all don’t listen, that’s what I said!”
Wishes spin, they twist, they bite,
Hope you read the fine print right!
Caveat Petitor, what did you say?
You got what you wanted—now debts to pay!
