Fear as a means of educating leaders

The Kyrgyz people have managed to educate our leaders in fear of being accused of mass murders and repressions: all our ex-presidents, when they were in power, were afraid of being remembered by the people as mass murderers, so that they would not be able to return to their land. Although none of them managed to put an end to individual facts of murders and crimes against politicians. Nevertheless, unlike our neighbors, our authorities have never consciously turned to methods of mass violence as a means of achieving their goals.

Unfortunately, we have not yet managed to get our leaders to be equally afraid of being remembered by the people as cowards, traitors, weaklings, incompetent blockheads and corrupt officials.

But sometimes even the most developed democratic countries fail in this regard.

Of all the 47 presidents this country has known, Trump is the most narrow-minded, stupid, smug and dishonest. He makes all previous presidents look like paragons of morality, honor, duty and governance.
But such a great country can afford to elect a fool once every 300 years.
Less developed countries would never be forgiven for such a choice.
