Voices of the Cosmos

A tale of stars, a dad, and a magical little girl
By Daniel Ryberg

Prologue

People have always looked up at the sky.
Some — just to dream.
Others — to find formulas.
But they all had something in common:
deep inside, they were still children.

Chapter One
How Stars Talk

"Stars don’t just shine," Daddy said. "They sing."

"Sing?" the girl asked, wide-eyed.
They sat together on the porch, wrapped in a big cozy blanket. The sky above them sparkled with a thousand lights.

"Not like people sing," Daddy smiled. "Stars sing with light, with waves, with something scientists call vibration. But if you really listen with your heart... you can hear their voices."

The little girl pressed her ear to his chest. "Do you hear them now?"

Daddy nodded. "All the time. But not with ears — with my soul."

She grew quiet, thinking. Then whispered,
"Maybe that’s how the Universe says 'I love you'?"

Chapter Two
The Notebook in the Sky

A few days later, she ran to him again — this time holding a crayon drawing.
“Daddy! I know what stars are! They're God’s notebook!”

He looked at her, surprised.

She pointed up. “Each star is a note. A memory. A story. That’s how the Creator remembers who we are.”

Daddy laughed gently — not because it was silly, but because it was... right.
And very beautiful.

Chapter Three
The Magic of Now

As they watched the night sky together, the girl suddenly said,
“Some people only look at the stars to get away from here. But maybe… the stars are here to remind us how to love where we are.”

Daddy hugged her close.
“Yes,” he said. “To love this life — just as it is.
And ourselves — just as we are.
Right here.
Right now.”

Epilogue

The stars above twinkled a little brighter that night.
Maybe they were singing.
Or maybe…
they were listening.
