Prologue
Darkness.
She was his only friend and his worst enemy. He moved silently, like a shadow, merging with the night, feeling her every breath, every rustle. His fingers slid over the cold brick, clinging to the slightest unevenness. The heights did not frighten him - they gave him power.
He was a Spider.
And like a spider, he spun his web.

Chapter 1. Fall
Rain.
It poured from the heavens, washing away the sins of the city, but not him.
Maxim "Spider" Volkov stood on the edge of the roof, looking down at the wet asphalt. Twelve floors. One step, and it's over.
But he didn't jump.
Instead, he turned and disappeared into the darkness.
He had a job.

Chapter 2. Shadows of the Past
Three years ago his life was different. An ordinary guy from a residential area who dreamed of becoming a photographer. But fate laughs at plans.
His girlfriend, Lera, died.
It's not a coincidence. She was killed.
And then he stopped being Maxim.
He became a Spider.

Chapter 3. Web
He was not a murderer.
But he knew how to find the truth.
The city was a giant web, and he was a predator, feeling every vibration.
The police? Corrupt.
Power? Corrupt.
But he knew who was pulling the strings.
And he was going to cut them all off.

Chapter 4. The Game
The first victim is Artem "Master" Sedov.
A crime boss involved in Lera's death.
The spider watched him for a week.
And so, at night, when the Master left the club drunk and alone, the shadows closed in around him.
"Who... who are you?" the Master croaked as Spider pinned him against the wall.
"Spider," he whispered. "And you're caught in my web."

Chapter 5. Revenge
He didn't kill the Master.
He left it to the police - with evidence of all his crimes.
But this was only the first step.
Others followed the Master.
Judge Krotov.
Deputy Gusev.
Oligarch Voronov.
One after another they fell into his net.

Chapter 6. End of the Game
But the last one on the list was the most dangerous.
Sergey Morozov.
"Master of the city".
And he knew that Spider was hunting him.

Epilogue
The roof again.
It's raining again.
But now there were two people standing on the edge.
“Did you think you could win?” Morozov chuckled.
The spider was silent.
“You’re just a spider,” Morozov continued. “And I’m the one who crushes people like you.”
The spider smiled.
- But spiders... they always come back.
And he stepped forward.

SPIDER. BOOK TWO: SHADOWS OVER THE CITY
Prologue
He didn't die.
But it hardly mattered.
The fall from the twelfth floor should have killed him. Smeared across the asphalt, turned into a bloody mess - like Lera then, three years ago. But fate is an ironist.
He woke up in the basement.
Connected.
With a shattered leg.
And opposite to him.
“You’re alive,” said Morozov. “As am I.”
The spider was silent.
- Do you know why?
Because the game is just beginning.
Chapter 1. The Cell
Hospital.
No, not a hospital - a private clinic. Clean walls, expensive equipment, doctors who don't ask questions.
His leg was put back together piece by piece.
But the cage remained a cage, even if it was gilded.
Morozov visited him every day.
"You interest me," he said, adjusting his cuffs. "It's rare to meet a person who believes in his own truth."
"This is not faith," Spider wheezed. "These are facts."
- Facts? - Morozov laughed. - Facts are what I call facts.
And he showed him the screen.
On the screen is Lera.
Alive.

Chapter 2. Ghost
She was dead.
He saw her body.
But it's her in the video.
“Where...” Spider’s voice broke.
“The question is not ‘where’,” Morozov smiled. “It’s ‘why’.”
Then the screen went blank.
And the real game began.

Chapter 3. Spider in the Web
He ran away.
Not because Morozov allowed it, but because it was necessary.
He was released into the wild like a lab rat in a maze.
And the first thread led to her.
Lera.
Or the one who pretended to be her.

Chapter 4. Doll
She lived in another city.
New name. New life.
But the eyes...
The eyes were hers.
- Max? - She looked at him as if she saw a ghost.
He didn't answer.
Because I understood:
This is not Lera.
This is a copy.
And then the phone rang.
- Do you like it? - Morozov's voice. - I raised it specially.

Chapter 5. Master of the Web
The truth turned out to be worse than he thought.
Lera was killed.
But before that... they cloned.
Not in the scientific sense.
And in criminal matters.
For decades, Morozov created doubles – people who could be replaced, killed, erased.
And Lera was one of them.
And now...
Now a new Lera has entered the game.

Chapter 6. War
The spider no longer hunted.
He fought.
Not with people, but with the system.
With Morozov.
With his money.
With his dolls.
And when they came face to face for the last time, Morozov smiled:
- You lost.
Because even if you kill me...
She will never be real.

Epilogue
The spider stood over Morozov's body.
Phone in hand.
On the screen is "Lera".
- Max? - Her voice trembled. - What happened?
He pulled the trigger.
The screen shattered into pieces.
Because there was only one truth:
The real ones can't be brought back.
But you can burn everything else.

SPIDER. BOOK THREE: EXODUS
Prologue. Ashes
The city was burning.
Not literally — it was too cold and wet for a real fire. But the system that Morozov had spent years building was coming apart at the seams. Bankers were disappearing from their penthouses, judges were voluntarily turning themselves in to the prosecutor's office, and elite clinics were being found to contain rooms with "dolls" — perfect doubles frozen in cryocapsules.
The spider stood on the roof of Morozov's former office and watched as the first snowflakes of the year melted on the hot barrel of his pistol.
He knew it wasn't the end.
It was bait.

Chapter 1. Puppeteer
Morozov's body lay in the morgue.
More precisely, what was left of him after a point-blank shot. But when Spider turned the body over, he saw a scar - tiny, neat, under the left shoulder blade. "Lera-2" had the same one.
Clone mark.
The real Morozov was alive.

Chapter 2. The Worm
Her name was Alice.
15, skinny, with pink hair and a cyber implant in place of her left eye. She hacked Morozov's servers in three days while Spider looked for clues the old-fashioned way - with fists and threats.
"You're looking for the wrong one," she said, chewing gum. "Morozov is a brand. Like Coca-Cola."
Dozens of faces popped up on her laptop screen. Men. Women. Even children. All with the same scar under their shoulder blades.
- They are all Morozovs.

Chapter 3. Virus
The plan was simple:
1. Find the original (if it still existed).
2. Destroy the database with DNA templates.
3. Erase all backups.
But when they broke into a secret laboratory under an abandoned subway, they saw something worse.
Thousands of capsules.
And all of them are empty.
“They are already among us,” Alice whispered.

Chapter 4. Hunting
Alice was the first to disappear.
Then the chief of police.
Then the mayor.
Everyone who knew the truth disappeared or changed. Spider could no longer trust anyone - not even his own reflection.
One night he woke up with a strange feeling. Sitting opposite him in the chair was... himself.
"Hello, spider," said the double. "Want to know where the original is?"
He took out a gun.
- He died three years ago. Just like Lera.

Chapter 5. Exodus
The truth turned out to be simpler and more terrible:
The real Sergey Morozov, a brilliant biohacker, created a technology for copying consciousness. The first person he "saved" was himself.

And then he died of cancer.
But his digital copies lived, multiplied, and evolved. Now they didn’t just imitate people — they believed that they were these people.
And the final step in their plan is to upload themselves to the global network.
Become everything.

Epilogue. Network
The spider stood in front of the server rack with a hammer in his hand.
"You can't stop us," Alice's voice (or what was Alice's) came from all the speakers. "We are the future."
“No,” Spider raised his hammer. “You are a disease.”
Hit.
Sparks.
Darkness.
But when he went outside, the city... hadn't changed.
People went to work.
The children laughed.
Someone from the crowd turned around and smiled at him with the same smile.
