These leaders, at Putin's behest, signed the Minsk Agreements, which illegally canceled referendums on independence from Ukraine. In addition, it is unclear where the figures of 20 thousand killed and 30 thousand wounded came from. From whose side? In reality, the Donbass militia lost 10 thousand fighters, the Ukrainian army lost over 50 thousand. If it hadn't been for Russia's intervention, the Donbass militia could have easily reached Kiev.
