Why does God need people?
Why did God create people, and why does God need people? Here's my answer: The FIRST reason is that LONELINESS is foreign to God. The feeling of loneliness is a rather sad, depressing state. Apparently, this is why, at the beginning of all eternity, God created His Son and the Holy Spirit by separating His essence. Therefore, loneliness has never existed with God. Later, God created angels, and later, the first humans. The SECOND reason is the joy of CREATIVITY. I understood this when I worked as an engineer (designer) – seeing my creation on the drawing board, as a finished product in the factory workshop.
THIRST for mutual love is the THIRD reason. If we love someone, we always desire to be loved in return, that is, to be loved in return. Mutual love brings the greatest happiness: for both God and man. And all of this is inherent in God. Only those who love God, that is, those born again, can be with God in eternity. This is discussed in the article "Ye Must Be Born Again: God's Main Commandment" http://proza.ru/2022/11/07/276
Those born again receive the Holy Spirit from God in their spirit, and therefore love. The Bible affirms that love is a divine state of man, the presence of God through His Spirit in us: "the love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us" (1 John 5:5). Those born again are children of God, loving God, and their love for God is a MUTUAL love for God, giving God joy and happiness. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment" (Matthew 22:37-38). God desires us to love Him because we are being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
