Esoteric Treatise "On God and the Universe"
(The Universe is the manifested body of God.)

1. The Seven Rays

Seven Rays — Divine Energies — have emerged, forming the foundation of Existence. Seven Planes have arisen along with seven subplanes, amounting to a total of forty-nine; the last of these is our own, the physical subplane of the seventh Physical and Cosmic Plane. It corresponds to the Seventh Ray — Spirit-Matter and strict Order.
In the beginning, however, the First Ray emerged — Divine Will. The Father directed His Energy towards the Creation and Construction of the Universe. The Great Void awakened, time began to tick, and Space-Time was born, eternal and infinite. Along with it came Matter, a manifestation of Divine Love and Wisdom, created by God — this is the Second Ray.
In the divine union of Love and Will, Creation — Active Knowledge — was born, and the most wondrous aspects began therein. The Creation of Worlds, the birth of Gods, and the Monads — from Atom to the Logos of the Universe. To harmonize the infinite conflicting energies, the Fourth Ray — Harmony through Conflict — emerged. This Ray reconciles all and brings forth beauty, giving birth to the Soul and the Buddhic body.
Then arose the Ray of Knowledge, the Fifth Ray, capable of measuring harmony through numbers. This Ray generates the Mind of the Universe and its developmental Plan. Words, symbols, and numbers are all subordinated to it, the Ray of Divine Knowledge, the Sovereign of Universal Mind.
Symbols give birth to ideals, and dedicated service to these ideals manifests the Sixth Ray — Ray of Devotion and Idealism. This Ray compels all to strive for perfection. In this pursuit towards the Absolute, Divine Order is born, manifesting the Great Spirit within Matter — the Divine Magic of the Law.
Everything is constructed in harmony, from the Atom to the spiral Galaxy, all manifesting within the seven Planes of Being.
