Gods Creation of Animals and Humans
Considering the creation of humans and animals in the Book of Genesis, we come to the conclusion that they received a LIVING SOUL. However, they received it differently. This caused the difference in their spirits, which are part of the soul. The spirits of the first humans, Adam and Eve, before they sinned, after which their spirits became sinful, also become clear. So, let us read the verses from the first two chapters of Genesis:
20. And God said, Let the waters bring forth the movable creature that has the living soul. 24. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living soul after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind. After the creation of the animal world, on the sixth day, God also created man.
26. And God said, "LET US MAKE man in OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS." And the Lord God formed man of the DUST OF THE GROUND, and BREATHED into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. The word "BREATHED" informs us that God, by His Spirit, created life for man, placing within his body the SPIRIT of another life for man, according to His own image and likeness, as described in the verses of chapter 1 (verses 26 and 27).
So, every living thing was created before man by a LIVING SOUL, from water and earth. God created man from the DUST OF THE GROUND, and BREATHED into his nostrils the breath of life. The soul of man, as well as that of animals and fish, contains SPIRIT. The word "BREATHED" applies only to man, to his soul and SPIRIT.
What kind of spirit did man become after creation? The Bible DOES NOT SAY about this. The spirit was neutral—neither divine nor sinful. In electricity, for example, there are concepts such as positive, negative, and neutral (absence of charge). A neutral being can acquire a charge of one kind or another through interaction with something. Similarly, the human spirit, as a result of a person's thoughts and actions, can acquire the Spirit of God or the spirit of the devil, the spirit of sin, which is what happened to Adam and Eve when they sinned. They were tempted by the devil.
The image of God in man is an inseparable element that exists in EVERY person: BODY, SOUL, AND SPIRIT.
Similarity is spiritual qualities and actions.
