Deindustrialization... what s in store?
Mikhail Leontiev, our consistently top expert on economics and politics, remains true to his craft, trying to delve as deeply into our lives as possible. What awaits us if things continue to go horribly wrong?
Yesterday, when Dmitry Kulikov was his guest, what did he conclude?
So, in my own words, I'll summarize it briefly: before our very eyes, Europe is deindustrializing, its economy is being converted to a military footing. Simply put, Europe's military-industrial complex has taken over everything, especially the ruling elite—the Mertzes, Macrons, Starmers, Ursulas, and the like—who are doing everything possible and impossible to ensure stratospheric profits for insatiable arms makers.
But Mikhail didn't stop there, noting that the same thing awaits the United States, where arms manufacturers are gradually taking a leading position in the economy and politics, and even the peacemaker Trump is bowing to their brazen and unabashed pressure.
And if arms manufacturers are ahead of the rest of the world, then the United States will soon face this same deindustrialization, because, as Mikhail says, the train has left the station; China is firmly ahead in global industrialization, having captured 35% of global industrial production.
And no matter how hard the Americans try, they will never catch up with China.
But Leontyev wouldn't be Leontyev if he didn't drop a very alarming phrase, namely:
"This entire global deindustrialization, with its clear bias toward the militarization of economies, could lead to dire consequences. Arms manufacturers will simply ruin the peace initiatives that Trump and Putin are currently pushing through with great resistance from corrupt Democrats and Anglo-Saxons."
That is, the threat of World War III is growing exponentially...
Leontyev understands this, but, alas, his understanding is meaningless and will not change anything, for capital (private property, the institution of private property) has ignored our fears, our worries, our warnings. Even if we sound the alarm, this bloody, radioactive mess will become our final, horrific reality, which we will see through our torment, tears, and suffering...
The outlook is not the best, to say the least... the complete collapse of human civilization....
