ASYMMETRICAL RESPONSE (“YOU CAN’T PROVE ANYTHING ANYWAY”)
Russia, Moscow, the Kremlin.
The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, is seated at the table with the Security Council Secretary, Nikolai Patrushev. TV shows the U.S. president, Joe Biden, shaking hands with the Ukrainian president, Vladimir Zelensky.
Putin (with cold fury):
— Biden gave Ukraine $3.5 billion in military aid. His HIMARS are setting my oil refineries on fire across the country. This is the last straw. We are not obliged to tolerate this kind of behavior. Give an asymmetrical response.
Patrushev:
— Yes, sir. How about we launch a “Prometheus’ fire” over his favorite state? That’s where his son lives, and that idiot Kamala Harris as well. It’s his own fault — we warned him!
