DEADLY WEAPON: A PLASTIC CUP
A Russian courtroom: the defendant, his lawyer, and the judge.
Defendant:
— I didn’t throw a stone at that officer — just a plastic cup!
Defense lawyer:
— We find the sentence excessively harsh! We demand leniency!
Judge:
— I see not the slightest grounds. The crime is obvious, though incomplete: first a cup, then a stone. A clear act of visual incitement to terrorism — a public demonstration of terrorist methods. Sentence upheld!
