THE SCOUNDRELS LAW: PREVENTIVE LOOTING
Russia. Moscow. The State Duma chamber.
Its speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin, delivers a passionate speech.
Volodin (in solemn tones):
— The foreign-agent scoundrels want to take away from us:
• the Crimean palaces (a symbol of Russia’s greatness!),
• the Donbas mines (long flooded, yet still ours!),
• the beaches of Mariupol (paid for with our blood!),
• the Melitopol cherries (our sacred strategic fruit!).
We will fight these scoundrels. We are passing a law on preventive confiscation:
• Apartments — for seditious appeals,
• Dachas — for slanderous fabrications,
• Bank accounts — for unpatriotic fantasies.
They have the arrogance to desire — we have the power to confiscate!
