Deciphering The Secret Doctrine through a Numerical Key

Today many people write about the Age of Aquarius, yet no one knows exactly when it will begin. An Age is determined by the position of the equinoctial point. At present it is located in the sixth degree of the constellation Pisces and will enter Aquarius only in more than four hundred years; for now, we are living in a transitional epoch. Moreover, when the Age of Aquarius does arrive, all religions and churches will disappear, and spiritual science will prevail. But this has not yet occurred. Unfortunately, orthodox science still lags behind the science of the Initiates and the Vedas, which possess scientific knowledge more advanced than that of modern scholars.

…It is precisely the unusual configuration of planets and stars, carrying revolutionary, purifying, and creative energies, together with the accelerated development of all humanity, that has caused the twenty-first century to become not only the era of a Golden Age of spiritual and scientific flourishing, but also the beginning of the great transition from the Fourth Human Kingdom to the Fifth Divine Kingdom, analogous to the transition from the Third Animal Kingdom to the Human Kingdom.

In this connection, for the second time in the history of humanity (the first was in Atlantis), all Initiates and saints will incarnate on Earth in physical bodies. In addition, many souls from other highly developed sacred planets, both within our Solar System and from other systems of our galaxy, will incarnate. All cataclysms and crises, carrying a purifying function, are also connected with this transition. During the Divine Judgment, which is currently underway, the fate of every human being, or rather of their spirit, is being decided: either it passes into the next kingdom, or it is cast back along the evolutionary path for millions of years in order to re-enter the human kingdom and repeat the evolutionary cycle.

Now let us examine where these Ages come from. Modern science is only beginning to approach an understanding of the structure of our galaxy, while in the Vedic science of the Initiates this knowledge has long been known. Helena P. Blavatsky partially lifted the veil in The Secret Doctrine. Recently, scientists have confirmed ancient knowledge about our galaxy. Our Sun completes one revolution around the center of the galaxy in approximately 200 million years, and the equinoctial point completes a full cycle in about 26,000 years.

This is connected with the rotation of our Sun around the star Alcyone in the constellation of the Pleiades, upon which evolution on Earth depends.

An even greater cycle of the Sun’s rotation within the galactic arm is connected with the movement of the tropic, the tilt of Earth’s axis, and the inclination of the Milky Way. According to various sources, a full cycle lasts from 2,160,000 to 2,800,000 years. This explains the origin of the great floods and ice ages. The last Great Flood occurred about 800,000 years ago, when the tropic was moving toward the pole. Around 400,000 years ago, the tropic was at the pole. Today it is moving toward the equator and will reach it in approximately 150,000 years. The movement of the tropic is recorded in ephemerides, so anyone may calculate when it will reach the equator. At that time, there will be eternal spring in the temperate latitudes, and nothing will grow. However, the onset of the next ice age is being delayed by human activity: technogenic processes increase the temperature of the atmosphere and the world ocean, and these two opposing processes compensate each other.

Now that we know the astrological key, we can proceed to decipher The Secret Doctrine. In total, seven keys are required: the numerical key (astrological and numerological), the scientific key, the religious key, the psychological key (given in A Treatise on Cosmic Fire by A. Bailey), the Heart key (given in the Teaching of Living Ethics), the key of Initiation (given in A Treatise on the Seven Rays), and the key of White Magic (given in A Treatise on White Magic).

For the numerical key, one must also know the sacred numbers: 432, 216, 108, 144, 72, 36, 14, 12, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, and understand what the Yugas are. Blavatsky wrote about this.

I will not present all calculations here, they are too numerous. I will only discuss the results. If you disagree, try to refute me, but to do so you will have to decipher The Secret Doctrine yourself.

The lifespan of our Earth, a Kalpa, is 4,320 million years. It has already lived about 2 billion years. This entire period is divided into 14 Manvantaras and 7 Rounds. Between Manvantaras there is a brief period called Twilight. Each Round consists of one Manvantara (day) and a Pralaya (night, or planetary obscuration). We are currently living in the Seventh Manvantara of the Fourth Round.

A Manvantara consists of 72 Maha-Yugas, each lasting 4,320 thousand years. We are now in the 28th Maha-Yuga, which will end in 427,000 years. A Maha-Yuga is divided into four Yugas in the ratio 4:3:2:1: Satya Yuga (Golden), Treta Yuga (Silver), Dvapara Yuga (Bronze), and Kali Yuga (Iron). Kali Yuga, lasting 432,000 years, began in 3102 BCE, on the day of Krishna’s death.

Each Yuga is again divided into four parts, beginning with the Yuga corresponding to the main one. This division repeats several times. The smaller Kali Yuga lasts 43,200 years; the even smaller one lasts 4,320 years. It ended in 1218, after which the next smaller Satya Yuga began, lasting 4,320 ; 4 = 17,280 years. From this year began the accelerated development of humanity, especially Russia — the emergence of the Russian Empire, the birthplace of the future Sixth Root Race.

In turn, Satya Yuga is divided into four parts, beginning with a smaller Satya Yuga lasting 1,728 ; 4 = 6,912 years. This period is again divided into four, beginning with a smaller Satya Yuga lasting 691.2 ; 4 = 2,765 years. This division can continue further:
276.5 ; 4 = 1,106 years;
110.6 ; 4 = 442.4 years—a minor Golden Age from 1218 to 1660 within the great Kali Yuga.

Next comes Treta Yuga, the Silver Age, lasting 110.6 ; 3 = 332 years, from 1660 to 1992. Then follows the minor Dvapara Yuga, the Bronze Age, 110.6 ; 2 = 221 years, from 1992 to 2213. After that comes the minor Kali Yuga, the Iron Age, 110 years, from 2213 to 2324.

The greater Satya Yuga lasts from 1218 to 2324, and an even greater one from 1218 to 3983.

This is one of the theories for scientific history. There are also other periods in the development of states, ranging from 3 to 4,320 years. Each major period is divided into three phases: tension, crisis, and stabilization or stagnation. This is the law of development and evolution, and it must be taken into account in state planning. These theories not only explain historical development but can also assist in correct state planning and forecasting. Cosmic cycles cannot be avoided; everything develops according to a cosmic plan. If your plans coincide with the divine ones, they are realized; if not, nothing will succeed, no matter how hard you try.

Now we move to the main mystery that has not yet been deciphered — the theory of races. For now, it remains a hypothesis requiring proof.

We live in the Fifth Root Race, the Aryan, and in its Fifth European subrace, transitioning into the Sixth Race. What does this mean?

Assuming that the theory of races is linked to the theory of Yugas, we anchor calculations to the one precisely known date: the beginning of Kali Yuga —3102 BCE. For convenience, we count from this date and call it BKY.

According to The Secret Doctrine, each subrace of the Fifth Race lasts 216,000 years. The Seventh subrace of the Fifth Race will end with the end of Kali Yuga in 327,000 years. Subtracting 216 ; 2 = 432 thousand years gives the beginning of Kali Yuga and the beginning of the Sixth subrace of the Fifth Aryan Race. The Fifth European subrace ceased its development at BKY; now its destruction and the development of the Sixth subrace are underway. At the same time, preparation for the Sixth Root Race began, and the Sixth subrace of the Fifth Race will smoothly transition into the Sixth Root Race.

The Fourth subrace, apparently Arab-Semitic, began 432,000 years before BKY. The Third subrace began 648,000 years before BKY. The Second, Hyperborean (ancestors of the Slavs), began 864,000 years before NKY. The First subrace (ancestors of the peoples of India) began 1,080,000 years before BKY. Including the preparatory period yields the sacred number of 216,000 years. Thus, the entire Fifth Root Race spans 1,728,000 years.

Each subrace is divided into seven human races of about 30,000 years. Each of these is further divided into seven nations of 4,320 years, with additional transitional periods. Division continues down to periods of 3–4 years.

This is the third theory; all these theories are interconnected and form the complete diversity of developmental cycles. Future scientific history and the science of governance will be based on them.

Now let us consider the other Root Races. The Atlantean Race emerged several million years ago and lasted 6,912,000 years. Subtracting 432,000 gives 6,480,000 years before BKY as the birth of the Fourth Root Race. The first Atlantean subrace appeared 4,752,000 years before BKY. The Seventh Atlantean subrace ends with Kali Yuga. Its present representatives are Asian peoples of the Chinese-Japanese group, who will give rise to the Seventh subrace of the Fifth Aryan Race and the Seventh Root Race, which will be the shortest.

The Third Lemurian Race appeared about 27 million years ago. Humanity entered physical bodies 18 million years ago, in the middle of the Third Race. Its duration was 27,648,000 years.

The Second Hyperborean Race appeared 110 million years ago; humans then lived in astral bodies.

The First Race arose in the previous Sixth Manvantara and was unsuccessful.

In the First Manvantara, the mineral kingdom developed; in the Third, the plant kingdom; in the Fifth, the animal kingdom. We are now in the Fourth Round, Seventh Manvantara. By its end, humanity will enter the Divine Kingdom and learn to live in astral bodies, as Christ does now. In the Fifth Round, humanity will enter mental bodies; in the Sixth, the Seventh spiritual globe; and in the Seventh, the Great Pralaya. After that, a Third Solar System will be created, and on a new Earth humanity will live in the Fifth Divine Kingdom, aiming to enter the Sixth Kingdom of the Teachers of Wisdom, such as Christ and the Teachers of Shambhala.

Returning to the Sixth Root Race: its beginning is BKY, its end is the end of Kali Yuga. Duration: 432,000 years. Subrace duration: 54,000 years. We are currently in the preparatory period. The Sixth subrace of the Fifth Race is now developing and will smoothly transition into the Sixth Root Race, just as previous transitions occurred.

The Seventh Root Race will last 108,000 years and will end with Kali Yuga; it will begin 324,000 years after BKY.

What comes after is still inaccessible to humanity. Until the end of the Fourth Round and Seventh Manvantara remain many Maha-Yugas and over a hundred million years.

Each race developed on a new continent that later disappeared: the Sacred Land, Hyperborea, Lemuria, Atlantis, Europe (including America and parts of Asia and Africa). A new continent for the Sixth Race will arise in the Pacific Ocean, connecting to Asia; Europe and part of America will sink. This is already occurring. Possibly Sakhalin will become the new Himalayas. Although the next Great Flood will occur in about 300,000 years, the present transition is said to be linked not with water but with fire and invisible cosmic radiation.
