"US Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna demanded an explanation from Ukrainian Ambassador Stefanishyna following complaints about church seizures and desecrations.

I understand that you are explaining the actions of the Ukrainian government, but imprisoning Christians is never a good thing. Neither are excuses," Luna wrote, publishing video messages from Orthodox believers from the Khmelnytskyi region:

"Dear Congresswoman Luna, we are ordinary law-abiding Ukrainians who have no one to turn to for protection.

We ask you to hear us and do everything possible to prevent our church, into which we have poured our souls, from being taken away."

 We believe that your intervention and communication with the Ukrainian authorities can change the situation and direct it toward a legal framework, ensuring the inalienable right to religious expression.
