Proponents of the interdimensional UFO hypothesis (IUH) believe that it is. They call the UFO/UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) ultraterrestrials and claim that they come not from outer space (i.e., are not aliens/extraterrestrials) but from parallel universes (other universes in the Multiverse).
The IUH far better explains the evidence about UFOs so I tend to agree with Meade Layne, John Keel, J. Allen Hynek of the Blue Book project, Jacques Vall;e and other prominent ufologists that promote the IUH.
